I have a Nespresso Vertuo machine, I try to limit myself to having 2 big mugs a day with heavy cream. I don't like sugar in my coffee unless it's a moccacino or coffee ice cream.

I also have a filter coffee machine as I prefer it to instant coffee and I have 1-2 cups a day of that per day to keep costs down.

the machine i use is some old keurig with a kcup in it, it's on it's last legs that i've thought about throwing it and just buying a new one at some point.
zero sugar coconut creamer is my all time favorite but man the serving size is insane for so little, but it's just good enough to get that hint of coconut taste within it.

I like mine black, unlike my women. I like it all except for any coffee drink that got caramel in it. Coffee is a very versatile drink but my favorite most of all is coffee straight out of a nitro tap.

If you're into some of the weird new fermented coffees, you probably already know about it, but if not, check out Letty Geisha from Diego Bermudez / Finca El Paraiso. If you google it, you'll see that it's expensive (around $100/lb) from some of the better roasters, and is probably sold out. It's a very juicy/peachy/sweet explosion. Diego Bermudez is sort of a mad coffee fermentation wizard with his fermentation techniques. Here are a couple of roasters who still have it:

Manhattan is pretty well known for their offerings. I think they're in Denmark.
Insomnia I don't really know much about, but I've ordered from them in the past (including this years Letty just a month ago) and it's great. They're also not bad at $68/12oz.

I got a steal on a Bunn pour over maker locally. Makes a pretty good cup of a coffee, cleanup takes 30 seconds. Used to use a french press once a blue moon, but wasn't a fan of the cleanup.

I love dark roasts and have been buying pre-ground coffee. I'm thinking about buying some whole beans and a grinder. Am I stuck with buying an electric burr grinder for doing a few ounces of coffee beans within a reasonable amount of time? Don't want to spend 10 minutes grinding beans for a full 8 cup pot.

I usually drink my coffee hot, but when I drink iced, I'm not a fan of cold brew. I prefer flash brew. Something about the flavor notes you get from heating the grounds just does it for me, and the rapid chilling keeps it fresher than a traditional brew and then chill.

I decided to try a local coffee house that I hadn't been to after they went through a quality slump some years ago, ordered a plain quad latte, and when iced coffee came up in discussion, I offhandedly mentioned my preferences. Cue the barista pointing to their brand new Japanese flash brewing setup and giving me a small for free. Nice to see a place recover from a downturn.

I later learned that Japanese iced coffee is becoming a bit of a fad in America, and for once I'm not going to complain that something I like is in vogue.

I make coffee in two autistic ways. Bumping thread and poosting how I like my shit.

Don't know how to collapse shit on this site so hopefully this works. If this doesn't work, I'm not fixing it.
  1. Measure beans (dark roast, stored in airtight container) in aeropress scoop and dump into burr grinder hopper.
  2. Grind to medium-fine consistensy.
  3. Heat water to 85 degrees Celsius (185F in Freedom units)
  4. Assemble Aeropress upside down
  5. Drop grounds into Aeropress
  6. Slowly pour heated water into Areopress, rotating the thing to make sure the grounds are evenly wetted. Fill to just about the top.
  7. Stir for about 30 seconds.
  8. Put paper filter into the holder, I usually wet it to keep it from falling out. Twist filter onto Aeropress
  9. Invert into your mug and gradually press down on the plunger
  10. Add a little water to taste, if at all.

  1. Use Cafe Bustello vacuum packed grounds, scoop into the cup in the pot that holds grounds
  2. Fill water to nozzle and assemble the pot
  3. Put pot on stove at medium heat
  4. While that's going, pour 3/4 cup of whole milk into a sauce pan over medium heat. Add a little sugar if you want to sweeten it.
  5. Once milk starts steaming, take it off the stove and froth using a hand frother
  6. When moka pot starts gurgling, remove from heat as well and wait for it to fill the top portion about 3/4 of the way.
  7. Pour coffee into large mug first, then frothed milk

Aeropress is pretty fantastic, though I find myself doing traditional pourover more often lately, just for the higher yield.

Yeah, I've been considering getting a pourover for a while, just haven't done so. Might get a better kettle first, with temperature control. The one I have now does the job, but it's guesswork if you don't want your water to get to boiling.

I drink black Coffee, or espresso. I got a really good machine from my grandparents this christmas.

When my mom is here i drink cappuccino, because she only likes that. I kind of like cappuccino, or other Coffee with milk, but I almost consider it a dessert, rather than Coffee.

Coffee drinks are some of my favorite though. Ice Coffee mint is amazing.

Coffee.
milk is optional.
You could also use an ice coffee mix.
Sweet Mint liqeur.
Ice
Mint leaves for garnish is also optional
Mint liqueur, that's interesting. I imagine it would make a great after meal drink. If the liqueur wasn't already sweet I would use sweetened condensed milk instead of milk but imagine just using heavy cream would also be delicious.

I dont know if there are some less sweet mint liquers. The ones ive tried have all been really sweet which is why i dont add any sugar or anything.

If the liquer was not sweet i would also use condensed milk i think.

I don't think so either, perhaps using a mint extract with a spirit would be a way to make it without sugar. However I don't think it would be as easy to make it taste good. There are some mint liqueurs that have some crème in them already like Baileys. But it makes me curious to try other flavors, I wonder if I can find a lavender liqueur.

I have a small grinder in which I scoop my beans into from the bag and just press on the lid to spin the blade. Takes only under a minute and I just put the ground up beans in the coffee maker. Its really no hassle. I love coffee. :)

I used to drink mochas a lot until I started drinking cold brews one summer. Now I usually drink coffee black. Whenever there's cream in coffee, it's like it doesn't belong there.

Can still drink mochas, though. I take Mexican mochas if a place makes them.
