I know I said they were cluttered but jesus christ
That is so many times worse than the one I "fixed". And you really can't even fix these clusterfucks, they're completely unsalvageable. You more or less end up with something with a couple of aspects and colors inspired from the original, they're that bad. And yet people eat these up every single time.

Looks like Viera mixed with kupos (I think this is the right name?) from final fantasy.
talking of viera, there's one cs that rips them fully, from the lore, to design details.
enter lorunes by yllande.

currently, there's a psa on toyhouse about her (yllande), as she's quite scummy.

So here's my take looking for its body. I think i got some of it right despite the whole clutterfuck of these red seaweed looking fur.

For the price of what an adoptable goes for one of these species, I could afford to biologically turn myself into a member of that species.

Man I just want to pitch an idea "How much did this abomination go for?" Bring three people in on a state and have them try to guess a price for a bunch of shitty fursona pictures. It's impossible to win! A highly detailed picture? 50 bucks. Some monsterous red blob wolf with eyes everywhere? 2000 bucks. Fucking hell MilesDF alone would provide seasons of content.

Went ahead and did my best to dig this thing out from all the clutter, and even then I had to simplify it to hell and back just to make sense of the body and fuckered legs.

Also, from what I can figure, this thing is either 75% tail and can probably see out it's own asshole with the amount of eyes it possesses, or it's magical legendary spechul power is shooting furred parasitic bobbitworms from it's rectum.
I always assumed that those were tails. It's some kind of weird deer kitsune thing.
Not going to lie, I actually kind of like those eyes floating within it's mass, as I have a soft spot for things that remind me of Zero 2 from Kirby 64, so someone could do something similar and improve on that concept.

Honestly I can admit that the coloration and theme that this one has is pretty solid, and the actual rendering of the piece is professional quality (-1000 points for not knowing how composition works and cluttering it up so bad that the viewer needs a close up of the head to figure out where it is); but serving as a character reference? Unless the buyer receives a several other pieces of art upon purchase, like a turn around of the character, a flatcolor reference or a simplified version that better explains how the character's put together and it's markings, this thing is just a 2k trading card that sits in toyhouse and looks pretty- It's an illustration, not a character reference.

Also, has anyone mentioned Daitens yet? They're a smaller closed species by KingSmiggles on twitter, but I heard of some slapfight recently with a guestartist- I'm on mobile and can't archive links, but I'll look into it when I get home.

They couldn't even make an interesting, unconventional Pokémon into an anthro-fox, i.e. one that wasn't already canine or fox-like. For instance, where are the magical Parasect fox adopts?

I really don't understand who the target customer is for this kind of thing. Is it someone with no artistic talent and can't draw their own characters? Or someone with no creativity to design their own species? Or is it just the fact that having something exclusive and speshul that you paid for makes you think you're part of some secret elite club? I just don't get why you'd want to be constantly indebted to some other shitty artist about what is 'allowed' for your character and what they can look like.

Nothing new, I know, but I just discovered Kinnonis

$130 starting price for anime catboys. i just don't get it. maybe i'm too old. at least shit like scarfoxes look unique.

Those tails look like the ones from one of the races from the first Grandia. And there's nothing original about the designs. Not unlike a few Erune from Granblue or really any animu animal eared character. Why would you pay $130 for the most generic nekomimi trash ever? If this artist sells a lot then I salute their scam.

Thanks to your drawing I found the head. Looks like some kind of fanart of the alpacas from Color Out of Space.

Same people who bought Beanie Babies and claimed they were "an investment."

some of these species might actually be interesting if they weren't so closed off, like ones that have tried to be unique. but ones like cinnadogs that are just dogs drawn a certain way, it's mostly for the flex. i've seen people who hoard closed species and they never even draw them after getting them. there's really no logic behind the concept of closed species when there's nothing that you can do to even prevent someone from making a character of that super elite species unless you count the rabid fans of these species who will put you on their oh-so-threatening public blacklists.

imagine if large franchises who have certain species, such as pokemon, tried to pass off a thing where you couldn't make your own pokemon. the concept of closed species is absolutely ridiculous to those outside of these small art communities.

edit: to avoid doubleposting, i've come across yet another unoriginal species that's on the front of toyhou.se's popularity page due to having a free myo event.

you literally can't make this shit up anymore! the whole "galaxy design" trend back from the late 2000s/early 2010s manages to spawn a supposed semi-closed species where you have to follow specific ear and tail guides! apparently to make your very own in this free event, you need:
a halo with no cracks, pawpads, no long claws

It's sad but it's cuter like this.
