You don’t have to like other JRPGs and the like to enjoy this game. The only thing I take issue with is when people hold this game up as proof that other JRPGs are now all inferior and/or only for weeb manchildren consoomers.

It’s kind of strange that the people who made the game clearly love anime and JRPGs, which shows in it, yet it’s attracted people who hate those kinds of games and the people who like them.

Also, I haven’t played Dispatch, so I can’t comment on that. Just that for me, it looks like I have to separate the creators (avid fans of JRPGs, anime, and in this case, borderline visual novels), to portions of the fanbase (people who despise anime and JRPGs, and consider themselves better than those that do like them).

Before you faggot trannyme niggers came here, this thread was all about discussing the game, and nothing else.
Then, some weebshits pop up, and begin to jerk off about all the material this game is inspired from, japan banzai or other inane jap faggotry.

If you like japslop, final fantasy, dbz, toyota, suzuki, then go to that thread or make a new one and circle jerk with all the other weebshits. I fucking hate you people so much and I do not want to see you talk like fags where it's not warranted.

I'm not even trying to turn this thread into one discussing JRPGs in general. Just shaking my head at parts of the fanbase.

And what's so bad about discussing what all it was influenced by? Not saying you have to play all that, but it is nice to also check out what all the devs like as well. Some of which they themselves see as just as good as their own game. Provided of course, you aren't some hater of "weebshit" and can't ever think about even remotely "debasing yourself".

I have no idea how the heck discussing what all something was inspired by disrespects it or the fans, because that gives me more appreciation for it. Heck, if an anime was inspired by a whole bunch of European aesthetics, I would be interested in looking up what they were.

Not saying that it should be all that’s discussed, but seeing what all influenced a work I think only improves my thoughts on it if it was done well.

There are more good video games than a person could play in their lifetime. It doesn't matter what reason someone chooses one over the other, it's entirely personal taste. It makes a ton of sense of that Expedition 33 would appeal to the people turned off by Screaming Teenagers 8: Deluxe Edition. It's also why nobody cares if it's just French Paper Mario in the gameplay department, because that person doesn't want to play a Mario game.

I also don’t recall saying that you “aren’t a true fan of this game” if you don’t like anime and the like. There are fans out there who are like that, and I apologize you had to meet them. Just that I find it ironic and a bit sad that there are people who will only enjoy this game because it is “far removed from weebslop” despite all the love for said “weebslop” the game and its devs have.

But genuinely, I don’t think I’ve ever come across a more rage-filled person on this site before.
