Have you played Fleshed Out? It's really long and has huge maps. I just beat it and my only problem is that by the time you find one of the keys you've already forgotten the door's location. Sometimes I had to look at other people's playthroughs to know where to go because I have the memory of a goldfish.

I'm currently playing French Meat 1 and 2.

Not yet! I need to slowly make my way through the Blood map packs.

Now I got into the Quake Brutalist Jam III, after ages of playing any Quake mods.

Holy mother of Gawd, the Quake modding community is definitely a step above Doom's. Between this and Arcane Dimensions, another GOATed map pack, Quake modding is on another level.

Would also recommend Alkaline.
Would also* recommend Episode Enyo.

*has some iffy parts, like I remember a blatant arena fight that kind of sucked in the penultimate level

Also the most anticipated part of this chunk of the series, and perhaps the whole of Petty Thief. I'm not ashamed to admit that Deadly Shadows is the only game in the series I played, and I'm willing to bet there are many such cases in his audience. A whole episode for Shalebridge is likely to get them delicious clicks.

I know nothing about this game aside the concept. The idea and art seem cool is this one of those things once I see it I'll be tainted?
 
I enjoyed Mouse PI for Hire very much. I am first and foremost a vibes gamer followed by mechanics so the art style and soundtrack combined with warmed over Doom 2016 style action was actually great for me. The IGN review of it was a travesty but so bad it created yet another round of people dunking on IGN which was good.

You can hear how fatigued he got from how aggressively mid the game is to him and the apparently really long campaign, also, a lot more shitting on right wingers than usual thanks to the not-so-subtle nazi references in the game itself.
 
I watched the video and the whole game feels like a drag. The gimmick is interesting but the double jumping, dashing and grappling hook seem to be there just to tick some boxes in the "boomer shooter" list (even civvie points it out that's how unnecessary they are). I saw some early footage of the game like 2 years ago when it was just the enemies being shot at in a white void and I thought it was going to be a 4 hour game not 16 hours. Games like turbo overkill and cultic can pull off a longer campaign because the gameplay is that good and can evolve throughout the campaign to keep it interesting, something that millennial reddit rodent is incapable of doing.

I hate to quote myself but holy fuck he was a snotty little fuck and I turned the video off. But now I want to try the game. Does it look perfect? No. But could kill a few hours on it.If I hate it so what?

God I never have been this upset with his shit act before, just annoying.
