I liked the Hocus Pocus bit. I've been passively trying to remember a game I played many moons ago on a relative's computer and Civvie jogged my memory. Wizordum was a fun little game. Nothing genre-redefining, but if you like retro styled FPSs, it's entertaining.

Also, Blood Death Wish 2.0 is now available(as of a week ago). I'll make some time to play it tomorrow.

About time 2.0 came out. DW is top-shelf shit when it comes to Blood's (limited) mod work. Blood is probably my favorite game on the Build engine (sorry Mr. Wang) and the different weapon effectiveness on the different enemy types are almost perfect. Ever weapon has a use including the pitchfork, and even the lowly flare gun can wipe a room with its alt fire. I'd imagine the weapon/enemy balance lends to why not a lot of people bother with making content for Blood; the "slaughter map" format doesn't really work here. Combat puzzle and encounter design is trickier to do properly in Blood that compliments the map flow. Marrow is a good expansion as well, but I personally feel like it doesn't flow as well as Death Wish, I'd imagine even more so now that it has been reworked.

Thank Christ that they didn't lock Death Wish 2.0 behind re-freshed supply. Playing through it a bit now, it's been a long time since I played through the first release but I'm detecting a few changes here and there. I was using the expanded voxel pack but the voxel trees caused my machine to burst into flames so had to drop that one, sadly.

trees so crisp your pc went AAAAAAAH

I'm in E1M06 (Lateral Descent) of Marrow and the Gargoyles are going apeshit. They mostly do what you can see in the clip. They stay at high altitudes and spin without attacking. Is there any way to fix this? I use nBlood.

I think it was mostly the high ceiling that made them act that way. They are fine in enclosed spaces.

Anyway, I like how balanced Marrow is. I'm on E2M04 on Well Done and it keeps me on my toes most of the time. I've got to go back to episode 1 to play the secret level because I missed it. I'll probably look up how to get there because I don't want to spend too much time looking for hidden switches. I know there's two more secret levels in episode 2.

I just play on custom difficulty with normal everything except enemy count cranked. It's the best way to play where I'm not savescumming from getting two shot by a shotgun cultist every time I go around the corner. Death Wish 2.0 is really nice, tons of improvements to it. Wild amount of effort and quality.

I've finished Cryptic Passage and Marrow. What other expansions should I check out? Are there any infographics about Blood like the old "so you want to play Doom..." on 4chan?

I gotchu homie, some real good stuff here. Fleshed Out and Death Wish are top tier stuff.
Thanks. I vaguely recalled that image but couldn't find it.

I'm replaying the main campaign on Well Done because why the hell not? I think they went a little overboard with the amount of enemies. I love the cultists, but seeing 2-3 of them around almost every corner gets old. Even if you go slow and know for sure they're there, there's a pretty good chance you'll get hit. The first secret level (House of Horrors) is especially guilty of this. Marrow and Cryptic Passage are much, much easier in comparison.

Finished Death Wish, never got 'round to playing it before so I played it all in gone go, with the new reworked levels. 10/10 pure Blood kino. Same with Marrow, reminded me NERVE.WAD in a way. The "No Rest For The Living", but for Blood. Really good episode.

That infographic is a bit outdated by now, it's missing Blood In Blood Out, Bloody Pulp Fiction, among others.

This guy has a whole bunch of video playthroughs of those:
