The funniest thing is the game was extremely critical of government over-reach, and the Division is depicted as causing far more problems than it solves. Gaming Journalists were unable to notice this without a Trump analogue, however.

First of all, is there a Ross' Game Dungeon Thread? There should be.

Second, what is this about Civvie11 twitter faggotry? I don't use that shit site would be nice to get actual receipts so people can point and laugh if true.

The talk about Ross' and The Division really reminded me of what a insane game that was and Ubisoft's amazing skill at taking decent ideas and absolutely destroying them. Ross' review was far more fascinating than the game and his attempts at trying to figure out what the fuck the game even is about without the supplementary material and instead treating it the way a good game should be treated showed how garbage it was.

Did we ever have explained what the fuck that game even was about outside of using Clancy's name like a crutch to sell a boring as fuck MMORPG that is only remembered now by the patented Ubisoft Graphical Downgrade and DSP getting caught jerking the gerking on camera before he began his "gameplay" stream of it? I get that they say some terrorists unleash smallpox on dollar bills on NYC during black friday or some shit but they never explain it further do they? Ross' point about a moment in the game where you come across some looters and they go "forget shit like jewelry and gold we are here for medicine" implies some real insane shit is going on and we never had it addressed.

Also, I don't think saying boomer shooters have a "troon investation" problem is quite right. Troons infect EVERYTHING. They are like locusts, wandering into fertile fields and taking it over with their narcissism and cult behavior. Any online community can be a target,

I miss old based Ubisoft. I remember when they made a big hubub about adding an Anita Sarkessian analogue to Far Cry 4. She's "Amita Sarbeesian" and one of the two choices for who to lead the Golden Path.

Sounds cringe, right? It kinda is. But thing is? She's the fucking evil option. She advocates for getting child soldiers addicted to drugs so they're more loyal. She is full on the bad option and whoever wrote her into that story fucking knew it. Still puts a smile on my face.

Honestly, the games entire premise and setting is something I can see Tom Clancy writing in one of his books. A secret black ops agency that is activated when shit goes down on American soil? Thats half the books in the guys library. An they do explain stuff further down the line and it wasnt much a terrorist attack, but more a misantrophic scientist going "fuck humanity" and unleashing this virus he made. Now, I dont remember much of Rosses video, but I swear he mostly went through the starting area of the game.
 
It's so ABSOLUTELY over, Civvie is completely pozzed....

I can't wait for his next video though.

It was just "Amita", without a surname, and it was the result of wiki vandals. Probably a coincidence it sounded like Anita and they jumped from there.
 
So apperantly GManLives (who's somewhat Civvie adjacent, so I put it here) is now in hot waters for moral fagging on how shooting police in GTA is justified, but not civilians. I tried to find tweets on X, but getting them without an account seems to be impossible.
