If Texas did become it's own country, it would rapidly deteriorate into an even worse 3rd world shithole than it already is and eventually implode on itself.

It already has 3rd world maternal mortality rates.
 
The worst possible thing for Joe Biden to do right now would be to escalate the situation and push it to a crisis by sending in federal forces, which means that's likely precisely what he's going to do. Joe Biden hasn't made a correct decision in a nearly 50-yearlong political career. He's a fuckup, an idiot. His handlers desperately don't want this. The election year optics are terrible.

If Biden's handlers don't get him under control, he'll contact Abbott and threaten airstrikes on Texas National Guard facilities or even on Abbott himself. This wouldn't be a bluff. Joe's got this mini-movie playing on a loop in his addled mind of F-16 airstrikes vaporizing MAGA rednecks. He's brought this scenario up publicly twice now.

Abbott refuses to back down. Biden orders a limited airstrike to demonstrate his resolve. Several Texan guardsmen are killed and wounded. Abbott is portrayed in the media as a deranged neo-Confederate. Every US military base at home and abroad is put on high alert. It's a decision point for Abbott. Based on Abbott's past performance, I'm guessing he'll likely cave at this point. Abbott emphatically doesn't want to be the triggerman on a second civil war. Abbott is arrested.

Joe Biden will stupidly crow victory over these evil MAGA insurgents who dared to endanger our precious democracy. Mass resentment takes hold across the country. There'll be a massive rush for firearms and ammunition. To stem this tide, the White House will issue a series of executive orders prohibiting such sales. Penalties stiffen. Sporadic violence breaks out. Rebel militias form and the violence becomes more organized, these units more cohesive.

The presidential election is postphoned. Trump is arrested for conspiring with the insurrectionists, with other prominent opposition figures thrown in jail with him.

All of this unrest and instability triggers a Wall Street crash. Inflation spirals out of control. The crash goes global. China sees its opportunity and invades Taiwan. Seeing NATO in disarray, the Russians unleash their reserves and initiate an offensive that sweeps Ukraine. Iran threatens to nuke Israel with the nuke they promised they didn't have but now, quelle surprise, they do.

After that, my Magic 8-Ball says COME BACK LATER.
 
Joe Biden himself can't even order a meal for himself, not to mention an airstrike. He may not even be aware of what's going on in Texas yet. If Biden needs to make a statement, his handlers will give him the broad strokes right before the cameras show up, and will feed him some lines over the teleprompter or a hidden headset. Biden himself will forget everything like 15 minutes later.

If California hasn't imploded then Texas won't, not until it's fully become an extension of Mexico, as is currently happening with what's essentially a takeover.
