Not that I expect there to be any updates, but I am having an issue with the linux version. I am getting a weird looping sound that plays as soon as I launch the linux version. Did anyone else experience this or fix it? This issue doesn't happen with the browser version.

It might because you’re using Ubuntu. Maybe put on your best programming socks and install Gentoo.

I got trapped outside the house and couldn't get back in.

werx on my machine, and my laptop, which is a very different type of machine.

Fantastic work Saar. R.I.P. Terry.
Excuse my ignorance though, but why does the picture seem to be interlaced? Is this how all TempleOS programs are rendered?

The framebuffer is interlaced to effectively double the framerate. It's a compromise to ensure it can render at a fast enough framerate on even low end CPUs. Additionally it's an aesthetic choice.

Notably TempleOS draws out it's framebuffer one color plane at a time which means instead of traditional horizontal tearing the color planes tear. This can look very ugly and weird. I replaced it so it draws out each line with all color planes. Please understand the speed at which the computer can draw to the VGA memory is very slow, both in real life and on VMs. In particular I tell people not to use to VirtualBox because it's absurdly slow. Doing the interlace not only speeds up the rendering, but the transferring of the framebuffer to the BIOS.

This hits different when you're listening to music..

An idiot admires complexity. A genius admires simplicity. RIP Terry.

Have you thought about making a jrpg in this engine?
With cut-scenes narrated by news-hamster ?

Since people are talking about TempleOs, let me ask: does anyone know, have or can link the song that plays on the video where he show the elephant?

People can't even recognize the end of a game without a 30 minute credit sequence of several thousand names anymore. We're cooked zoomer-bros *skull emoji*
Many such cases.

Some suggestions for next year, you are allowed to call me a faggot and these are really retarded ideas.

* maybe a jrpg ? with the enemies being caricatures of various lolcows?
