I'm not up to speed: does Chris these days convince himself the dog is fine and it's soul exists in the multiverse to avoid being sad or does he just draw a comic of him fucking his anthropomorphic dog in CWCville?

Counterpoint, Chris did buy expensive as fuck lego sets, Skylanders and what what have you to the point that Barb is living off unhealthy "meal replacements" which are unhealthy to eat long term.
I yet have to see Chris building rainy day fund, preparing for any kind of pension or emergency funds or investing in things like gold or silver.
As a result he start once funds meant for bare essentials are spent for useless bullshit.

Barb pulled his strings for half the donation videos, usually because she wanted money for shit from sheetz or goodwill or q-sands. That meal replacement shit could've been recommended by her physician for all we know, and we don't (and we do know that Chris knows Barb's on a timer and tries to stay on top of it (when he's not on top of her)).

...yes, Chris doesn't save his money. You quoted me saying this. And no, he spends it on bare essentials and wastes the donor money he doesn't actually need on useless bullshit. Remember that one person who sent him money for cat medicine only to find out Chris already got some and just pocketed the money.

Passenger train options are pretty thin in the US. It's not like Euope or Asia where long distance rail travel is still a common and popular option. There are large areas of the US that aren't covered by the few passenger trains that are available, and rail travel in the US can actually be MORE expensive than air travel. Rail travel in the US started dying when air travel became affordable for the majority of Americans and attitudes shifted towards "Why take a mode of travel that will take days to get to where I'm going when I can get on a plane and be there in a few hours?" Another reason passenger rail died in America is because owning personal cars became something nearly everyone could afford and because much of the infrastructure in America was built around automobile travel and the interstate highway system. Now traveling by rail is done mostly by people who either hate to fly or are incorporating the train trip as a full part of their vacation experience. It's become a very niche thing.

Personally, I would love to see rail travel become more common and popular in America with more options for travelers. I'd love to see more traditional passenger trains along with high-speed rail options like they have in Asia and Europe. But I doubt it will ever happen, sadly.

Edit: Long story short; the idea of Chris trying to hop trains across country, while humorous, isn't a realistic one.

It is still one of the more pleasant manners of transport. If I had to cross the entire country, I would choose rail.
