I had just made a semi-important point that I'm going to bring up again. Chris is likely not going into protective custody because he was handcuffed. Cops'll throw suspects in the front seat so they can better see and hear them. He was definitely arrested on one of or all of the charges facing him right now.

His over-confidence about the situation is not surprising in the least. When has he actually faced any real consequences in his life?
