In the first world we kind of treat being a pervert seriously, I know in the third world you fuck donkeys and 14 year old boys dressed as girls and it's no big deal to you guys. But up here in the global north we're very concerned about sexual norms.
 
I always play dudes in games if I get the chance to but I don't really fault people for choosing women if the dudes are all ugly as shit or they have fucked up proportions, which happens in more games than you'd think. I also give a pass if people care about dressing up their character because most games have the dudes in full armor most of the time while girl characters get way more options for dress-up, like in Monster Hunter. It does absolutely provide a pipeline for lonely dudes to start identifying as the woman they're playing as though, so I think its bad if you're a weak-willed faggot.

it probably gets weird if you play a game with romance mechanics, but that shit is gay and retarded to begin with so if it exists i ignore and avoid it in the games i play.

Friend of mine always uses the cope of not wanting to look at a dude even when the game is first person. Now in rare circumstances it's acceptable when it effects your hitboxes. In titanfall 1 the female pilot was smaller and completely tucked her body in when jumping making it a massive advantage over the male pilot model, also its true that elites have the same hitboxes as spartans but I swear it was impossible to headshot them from behind.

I play whichever character looks or sounds the most pleasing to me and if it's sex-specific which romance options I can get, I'll do a second playthrough with the other sex. Mass Effect, I've played both male and female Shepard through the full trilogy. Cyberpunk 2077 I don't think I could play with the male V voice acting, he sounds cringe and obnoxious, even if it means I can't play through Panam's romance without mods (I'll just mod it, pc master race or whatever gay shit you want me to say)
I'll judge you mildly if you play a lesbian/gay character of the opposite sex than your actual sex but only because too many troons and pooners fetishise homosexuality and have poisoned the well completely. I genuinely don't care enough to stop you, however. Just don't be obnoxious.

In certain games, female characters have a smaller hitbox… and no downsides, lest the developers face backlash. Players wanting to win are mechanically incentivized to take the female characters.
 
Simple, if its a srns bsns game (Darker settings ala Warhammer vermintide) I play as a dude.

Everything else I play the wimminz as I like customization part of the character(usually female characters have more options), and I like looking at pretty women in my vidya.

Even if the gooner troons have ruined this aspect of vidya, it doesn't mean it should stand for their fetishistic expression and degeneracy. You're still playing the game at the end of the day and if you enjoy doing this, keep doing it. Just don't be an annoying obnoxious faggot about it.
