So recently I started talking to individuals from red note, because im interested how life is in hong kong/ chiinnaaa and I notice that they keep bringing using crypto and how I should get into it and they brag about how much money they are making. I got really sus out because they keep on bringing up fucking crypto so I was ok. Did some research here and there and came to the conclusion, fucking scamers. Any way invested in some crypto and I was like fuck it send some to fermer jersh and get T&H

Summary Chinese crypto scamers got me into crypto, sent some to fermer feeder jersh.

Yeah, it's a particular sub-category of scam often called "pig-butchering" (mainly in China, but I think it's starting to branch out now). They convince you to "invest" small amounts of money with their investor/broker, often using a special app/site (that they of course have created) which shows tremendous growth on your initial investment. After enough pressure from the scammer (and trust built up from seeing the initial investment grow), the mark then cleans themselves out to invest as much as they can - fattening the pig up for slaughter. In reality, nothing displayed on the app was real, and your money was in the wallet of the scammer the entire time.

Glad you didn't lose money to them. Total scum.

Just to add the scams can basically be anything, you should make sure your older relatives are aware of it because they fall for it because of the romance/intimacy stuff that comes with the scam.

I always wondered if it's possible to make a quick buck out of them by trying to "withdraw" the earnings from the initial small investment. Basically letting them "prove" to you that they are legit, by keeping them on the hook with a promise of an even bigger "investment" ...
But then again, I value my money too much to test this.
