So apparently this Chili's has terrible workplace culture are rabidly uses the term "retard" which offended a cook. This cook has a child with Down syndrome and stated that he has complained multiple times. Eventually they told him if he doesn't like it, he can leave. Which he did. Then he showed up the next day and they replaced his shift with someone else. Also they offered him a job at another location.

There seems to be something sketchy about this story. Also, Chili's is retarded if any of this is true.

Man gets upset when he leaves job early for a retarted reason and finds out he has been fired. Shocker.
 
If can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen.

The workers who are using the word "retard" loosely are probably the same people who would kowtow/pretend to be nice to autistic/disabled people just to feel like saints.
 
I have nothing productive to add to this discussion, other than I'm not surprised this happened in Pittsburgh. (Well...a suburb, but still.)
