Damn, there's an MMO? I played the hell out of this series as a kid, definitely gonna check this out.

I hate this kind of games.
It's not a MMO if you don't meet other players in game. It's not a MMO if you never, at any point, encounter any other players in game. It's not a MMO if you just rack up points to spend on power-creep upgrades or spend money to skip progression so you can 'compete' on an online leaderboard.
