It's entirely possible that he just forgot to draw the scars on in the last panel as that's happened before, but idk.

Someone once described Chainsaw Man to me as "What if you got the cast from It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia ... But it's an anime?"

And I can't unsee it.

I started to watch the anime, and I'm having a good time so far lol.
 
I am a coper since some things feel off, so I am unsure if Nayuta is alive or not but would be pissed if she died because it feels like shock value if it’s a permanent death
 
I'm actually pretty hyped. The biggest weakness of part II was lack of a great villain like part I had and it looks like Barem stepped up.
 
I rescind my theories, and hope that Fujimoto will be merciful to Control 3.

Fujimoto is doing a pretty good job of selling the otherwise overplayed "humans are the real devils" trope. You got a guy who ostensibly wants power to serve some greater good and is in his self-assured justification willing to resort to truly depraved measures(that or he's just a power hungry maniac who uses public safety as an excuse). I'm 100% on board with the feds being the bad guys.
 
I don't think the head is fake. This is exactly the kind of escalation I'd expect for Arc 2 given what happened to Power in Arc 1.
Which gets me wondering when Power is going to return. I suspect that when things finally get better for Denji she's going to be involved somehow.
