No they definitely were, but it's a series that was always going to work better as an anime so maybe it'll be justified retroactively.
I feel the opposite way. One of the big strengths of the manga is how it can storyboard out the action and leave so much of it up to the reader's imagination. Fujimoto is clearly a movie buff and he knows how to make the strong implication of action without necessarily depicting all of it; he shows just enough visually to give a strong feeling of chaos while letting the "less is more" principle work in his favor. With the anime, OTOH, it'll largely hinge on how MAPPA chooses to fill in the blanks.

Yep.

The manga is once again building up suspense to the true ultimate finale villain and thing everyone who reads the manga/watches the anime should be afraid of…the Door Devil.

If Pochita has a million fans I am one of them
If Pochita has ten fans i am one of them
If Pochita has only one fan that is me
If Pochita has no fans, that means I am no more on the earth
If the world is against Pochita I am against the world
I love Pochita until my last breath

Just watched the first episode, holy fuck it lived up to the hype !!!

Cannot wait for the rest to come out, instantly my favorite anime.

(Intro and outro make me coom HORD they fuckin slap the endorphins are making me lose me mind with an unquenchable need for more of this show)
5 episodes in and this statement still holds weight

The ending song for episode 5 is called "In the Backrooms" probably as a reference to the creepypasta. That's pretty neat, with it introducing the eternity devil and all. The music video is pretty neat too.

Every time I see that redhead, I can't stop hearing this in my head

Man, I finished Fire Punch like two weeks ago and I'm still thinking about that ending.
It's like if the ending of A.I and the concept of ego death had a baby or something, It kind of fucked me up in a way I didn't expect.
I would say, as a whole work, Chainsaw Man is fantastic in so many things regarding it's themes and how impactful certain pages can be, but Fire Punch was just mind blowing to read.
