What is your favorite primary genre of music

Nu Metal and Industrial Metal, some Death Metal, Thrash, and 90s Hip Hop.
 
Death Metal and Trance Techno are my top favs, closely followed by J-Pop and Breakcore. I miss Sewerslvt! :'(
 
I listen to all sorts of music, but a lot of my taste in the last decade has been Synthwave-adjacent EDM. Current album I am listening to. A lot of the music could be/has been used for soundtracks in media. And there's a surprisingly amount of overlap with other genres, specifically Jazz, Rock, Indie, and R&B.

Me thinks there needs to be a thread for these genre's; what would be a good name to lump them all together? Something simple and straight forward like Vaporwave/Synthwave/Instrumentals/ETC... feels functional.

So you're a Core singer? Lorna Shore has to do this on the daily.

Other than Pop, Jazz, and EDM I like certain metal genres but like to just name bands like Tesseract, Animals As Leaders, Invent Animate, Behemoth, Architects, list could go for a while. The other genre is hard Dance, not sure if that genre of electronic music is part of EDM now. Anywhere from old skool gabber, to Angerfist, to GPF I tend to enjoy.
I mean, y'all tell me if this is EDM:

Been loving this today during my drive. Was singing along when I realized one of the songs was a cover of, "Give Me the Night".

There was a thread similar, but I'm pretty sure it's dead. If you made one I'd contribute!

Ok, Ill start working on an op, send me a short list of the stand out albums/artists you think best represent these genre's or similar genre's!
