Chris is starting to sound more Southern the older he gets. He sounds slightly more normal and natural too when he's not making a video and striking poses for dramatic effect. Plus, he tips. And he mentions not wanting Barb moved into a home for fears she'll "be treated badly". So those are some positive things right there. Good for you, Chris! :D

One final thought:

yeah.jpg
You could make a drinking game out of how many times he says "yeah, but...uhh..." when the conversation veers to topics where Chris knows he's in the wrong.

"Yeah I think I...I think I am gonna continue with da art"

*cheers heard globally*

He tips when he is with someone and tipping is explicitly brought up. It is not an an accurate reflection of his propensity to tip.

But overall I found this installment reflected much worse on Chris than previous installments. He was definitely weird earlier in the conversation. But it wasn't whenhe started doubling down on the Michael Snyder conspiracy he crossed a line in my mind.

The stress belching thing is news to me.

And of course he believes the cops are working with the trolls. Because it's NEVER because he was doing something. It's never his fault. He is completely blameless. Yup. Uh huh.

Do you know if Chris [is] correct about the felony charges against him and his mother not expiring until June/July of this year? Or did I mishear that?
I don't know what's really true, but Chris certainly seems to think he's on the hook until June 2015.

In September 2014, the month after this date took place, Chris told "Catie"'s friend "Colin" that
[Barb and I] have "Felon" labels hanging over our heads until next June.

@skyraider91 In your opinion, did you feel like Chris was bullshitting about the Snyder incident by his body language or any other subtle factors?

Chris is in denial. It's what he's been raised on his entire life. Thanks Barbara and Bob Chandler.

Part of Chris's brain realizes the truth, but any time that spark of awareness tries to congeal into a coherent thought that goes against the delusions that Chris chose to believe, it gets suppressed before it can surface in his conscious mind.

I think it's part stupidity, part autism, and part his parents raising him to be a professional victim, teaching him to live in denial.

You can see Chris's face when he tries to reason, and see thoughts start to form, but it's almost as though there's a brick wall inside his head that prevents thoughts from becoming. It's like looking at an electrical circuit with current flowing through both ends but with a break in the middle. You can see a mental twitch, a pulse of current, but it just can't go through and form a complete, coherent thought.

Chris's mind is really an empty vessel that regurgitates whatever is poured into it. In Chris's mind, there's a dim, nagging awareness that something's wrong, but he lacks the mental capacity to analyze his own beliefs, and even if he could, he probably wouldn't want to, and would make the conscious choice to believe a convenient lie rather than face many unpleasant truths.

And he mentions not wanting Barb moved into a home for fears she'll "be treated badly".

To be fair, many nursing homes do have a reputation for neglect and abuse. However, the environment at most nursing homes would almost certainly be safer and more sanitary than the environment at 14 BC or the rental house. Let's not bullshit here. The real reason that Barbara Chandler doesn't want to be in a nursing home is because she's a senile, stubborn, mentally ill hoarder and wants to continue her maladaptive way of life as long as she can.

When Chris says "Assholes" in that weird voice at roughly 1 Minute in of Part 6, that made me actually chuckle... :)

I'm pretty sure she'd be better off in nursing home. If something happens to Barb at home Chris is going to be the sole first responder.... think about that. She'd still rather stay home though, in a home where she has someone to boss around and exert authority over and believe her inane bullshit revisionist history. Also if she entered a home she'd have to figure out what becomes of Chris, and she'd rather just put that off for another day as she has her entire life.

30 minutes of walking a day; have you been working out?

Dude if you do the math that means he is being active for like a little over 2% of the total day!

Every time Chris tells the Snyder story it gets faker and faker. He set up a trap for them, had police he bribed on call, planted witnesses at the scene and lured them in!

Because all Snyder does with his free time is plot against how to take down Chris.

The important bit to keep in mind here is:
That's not a 'lie', that is what Chris actually believes.
That in itself is not big news - or any kind of news, to be honest - but whenever I think about it, it kinda baffles me.

You've got a fully grown man believing such nonsense cause the truth would give him prickly wicklies, so he goes along with the "Twirling Moustache and Tophat"-villain scheme of a person that has nothing better to do than to hate Chris for no goddamn reason whatsoever.

"Al" asks Chris why Snyder would do such a thing - the better question would have been: "How did he do that", but that would obviously lead to Chris going "It was a trap by Snyder to frame me. He had cops and witnesses prepared! I am speaking and I have spoken. So there.".

Trying to get ahold of the Amnyfest Ring, source of all that is TRUE and HONEST, Catie and Skyraider you clever scamps.

I haven't listened to the new audio yet (the first time I listened to it was back in September) but Catie explicitly refused to accept the Anmnyfest ring, despite Chris offering it to her. Sorry, I don't remember the exact sequence of events, but the subject of the ring was discussed and it was agreed that taking it from Chris would be unnecessarily cruel. (The alternative of taking the ring, keeping it for a short period of time, then returning it was also discussed, but ultimately rejected.)

It's also obvious that Chris saw his HS ring as an engagement ring, which also figured into the decision to not accept it .

He offered it to her later? Because from the audio she brought up the idea herself of Chris giving her the ring.

I don't remember that but, like I said, it's been months since I heard the audio. I'm going to listen to it when I have a bit more time.

Yes, Chris did offer Catie the ring (again, I'm not 100% certain of the sequence of events). Perhaps @skyraider91 can weigh in on this.
