I didnt even know Catherine was getting a rerelase game.

I thought erica was pretty alright, although I felt she should have told that blond guy she used to be a guy before they had sex.

And didnt they make such a big deal out of erica being transgendered? Like even the characters were weirded out by it, didnt that also cuz controversy?

Correct me if im wrong here but arent 99% of the female cast in almost all smt games incompetent idiots?
What could atlus possibly mean by that?
 
Reeeeeeeeeeera doesn't even want representation for troons, as is with every bitchfest over representation for minorities in fictional works. They want marginalized characters in fiction to be untouchable totems of virtue, love and tolerance over the "evil cis white males".

And the fact they are roaring about a videogame character asking another to stay as a Newhalf instead of chopping off her peepee, in a videogame which consists of choosing between turning into a monster just to bang a succubus or bust, says quite a lot about what they think about the matter.

And how is telling a troon to keep her penis the way it is "erasing trans people"? :cringe:

Depends of your mileage but if you say SMT you have to be specific, there are so many spin offs with the name that you get lost easily but most of the time they are ok, i remember a time where you have to explain to the kids that they have to stop bitching about Soul Hackers because it was not a Persona, it doesnt help that the only two SMT that the people know are Persona and nothing else, even when they still use the meme of "featuring dante" without knowing from what game it comes from

Tip: recently the guys from PCSX2 fixed lot of shit to make Digital Devil Saga and Nocturne playable so if you want to play it, now is the time
 
I love the butthurt.

Me, I believe a writer's conscience is sovereign for their work, they should write what they feel would best suit their story concept, public opinion can go fuck itself if it's going to force the writer to never write anything controversial or experimental.

Some of the best works that have stood the test of time have been the ones that have triggered the fuck out of all sorts of people, and besides, I'd rather peruse a work of fiction that doesn't treat certain groups as sacred cows, because that's boring as shit.

Besides, REEtardERA wants more transgender representation, but they want trannies to be perfect even though anything based on the slightest on reality is not perfect, and I'd rather take a transgender person who is depicted as a PERSON like done in Catherine as opposed to the sanitized trannies can do no wrong horseshit the whiners want.

The actual context comes off more that they've accepted they're dead and can never grow up, so who they actually were no longer matters. No more fear of being left behind like McCauley Culkin or any other child actor that stopped being cute. His career was his life, the shock of losing it killed him... that and probably genetics from his mother's side.

That's how I understand it too, which is why I only did only say they thought so. No way in hell does Japan care about, let alone support America's gender politics. Hell, Japan doesn't even see those kinds of characters as trans girls.

Troons are so upset by this because they need fictional characters to validate them, which is pretty pathetic....then again if you chopped your dick off I guess you'd want some fictional character who did that and isn't insane as a sign you made the right choice.

They dominate so much of the games media and communities that I worry that Japanese executives will get the impression that they represent the gaming public.

This could lead to bad changes in the long term.

I mean smt games in general outside of nu persona (due to the fact that they have to resort to everyone having mental damage to make their "genious" character seem relevant (looking at you p4 and 5)
At the top of my head the only useful female characters that arent dead weight and dont backstab you are nemissa, argilla, best girl lucifer, the shrine master from raidou, the female cast from both persona 1, IS and EP, and the female if... protagonist
