According to the BoE, digitcal currency would be the equivalent of a digital banknote that would be a claim directly on the bank like real money, whereas a commercial bank balance is a claim on that provider and isn't 'real' money.

It would involve centrally controlled mechanisms used by private providers - and yes, every transaction would be fully tracable and recorded for any and all purposes. I have no idea what all this junk means.

However, it may actually stop people being 'debanked' for thoughtcrime if the scum politicians pass the relevant law - although there's no way to tell what governments will do, it's not like the plebs have any input on something like that.

Speaking of the 3rd world, they actually tried and force Nigeria to go cashless. It failed, hard. While people were perfectly willing to use the eNaira the WEF types wanted to get it done fast and so they pushed Nigeria to go fully cashless in just 6 months. It resulted in massive chaos, shortages, economic crash and a mass return to barter. It took only about 6 months for it to be declared a failure and the government to accept defeat, switching back to the regular Naira and instead letting the eNaira be one of the many currencies that are legal tender.
lol, no. The crisis was caused by CBN voiding the old paper currency and requiring people to trade the old banknotes in for the new paper currency. Nigeria is completely incompetent so they didn't print enough of the new paper currency and it was impossible to find.

You might want to check actual Nigerian news for what went down instead of cryptobro bullshit and zerohedge

Even if you think you sound like a massive faggot offer people things besides cash but dont be jewish about it. Maybe even go the extra mile and give them a gram of silver as a tip.

things are fucked up in the us, but I see allot less homeless people, and the only people at stores I frequent using there phones for purchases are Hispanic immigrants. granted most people still use cards and if its there fucked 22% interest credit card, or Debit card to there savings or checking account, or a EBT food stamp is unknown ... ... ...

Anyone not using a cashback card to buy stuff and paying it off every month is an idiot. I am so sure the government gives a shit that you're buying a new sex doll and anime every month. Free cash back from the card is where it's at.

How'd they do that exactly?
Am far too retarded to provide this answer. From this old article:

Though popular myths surrounding cryptocurrencies might label the emerging digital assets as secretive and untraceable, in Canada where regulations on crypto exchanges have been in place for years, experts say the framework to track down and crack down on the movement of cryptocurrency is already in place.

“I know in the early days of Bitcoin, a common argument was, ‘Bitcoin is just for terrorists because it’s easily obfuscated and they can hide behind the scenes,’” says Michael Vogel, CEO of Vancouver-based crypto exchange Coinstream.

“Well, the irony is, actually every single Bitcoin transaction is recorded permanently.”

That perpetual financial record is a natural feature of the blockchain, the decentralized ledger that underpins cryptocurrencies, non-fungible tokens (NFTs) and a slew of other emerging, high-tech uses.

In Canada, all crypto exchanges are registered with FINTRAC, the country’s primary financial watchdog. Among the requirements for operating legally in Canada, then, are getting basic identifying details about the exchange’s users.

Through these “on and off ramps,” Vogel says, Canadian authorities can pin down how crypto is flowing to people of interest in the “freedom convoy” or really any other operation underpinned by the digital currency.

I have close to zero understanding of this shit and don't know if it's fucked everywhere or just in Canada though. Perhaps a crypto autist will chime in and explain.

Canada was quick to fuck with protestors crypto accounts. It's not the "hahahaha...fuck you" kinda safe that people seem to think it is.
They can fuck with centralized exchanges. If you hold your own coins in your own wallet they cant do shit.

I see the push for cashless more to eliminate tax evasion (of course from low income sources) than control. It's not like people need to be any more nigger cattle. It makes more sense to make buying harder for wrongthinkers rather than outright banning them and risking a boogaloo.
Crypto is 'cashless' but no one can censor it like they can with digital money in banks :^)
Crypto looks to me more as a trap than anything. Banks still have contracts and laws they supposedly have to follow. If the country wants to fuck with a person they'll most likely have far easier time getting the person blacklisted/stealing his keys/making lies about his purchases than the paper trail of requesting the banks to cooperate.

Pay no attention to the "defensive walls" that have been erected around the entire Rothschild kike FED building.
