In all of the recent R&S talk, I saw people bring up John K's disdain for writers, people referring to a lot of modern animation as "writer's shows" in a negative way - say what you will about John K and I know I have, frequently, but he didn't "hate writers". He just had what any artist in the business should have had, a disrespect and an understandable beef with the sort of hack TV writers who couldn't draw, and didn't care about animation yet who had taken over cartoons by the end of the 1960s as well how cartoonists and artists lost all creative input and control, even in regards to the artwork on shows being run by these sort of people during the dark ages of US animation. Times and tastes change but we're still being plagued by these comedy hacks who disregard animation as a children's medium and only use it just to further their careers into live action, writers/comedians who've never really worked in animation outside a few voice roles, people with no real experience, knowledge, and passion for the medium.

I am not gonna disregard this point, just want to point out that many hack writers in the cartoon industry right now are also artists and animators. Jackoff of all trades, master of none. Imagine if the industry had more writers who could write, and animators who could animate.

A man can dream. Pedowood is never going to hire writers that know how to write nor animators that know how to animate, but rather hire nepotistic influencers that pretend to act like they have talent

and the Trans-Joker fan-film.

Recently a guy by the name of Zach Mulligan, who worked as a VFX artist for Dreamworks and The Jim Henson Company released a video talking about the current state of the animation industry.

Is there a 50/50 split of failed animators being Troons or furries? This faggot got a useless art degree. Does YouTube cartoon reaction videos crying about anti-communist propaganda and Donald Trump sabotaging Biden economy.

I'm telling you guys, we should make our own parallel animation industry. All we need to do is not make complete shit and we can fucking destroy modern-day Hollywood.

How soon until Cartoon Network or Nickelodeon make a cartoon with the corporate art style?
You mean they already haven't?

@Horribadger My biggest gripe with this site has always been that's full of armchair quarterbacks. You have all these people calling everything released nowadays trash, using modern society as a scapegoat to hide the fact that they're clearly blackpilled from reading up on retarded people all day. And yet they can't draw. They can't animate. They can't write, they can't program. They can't muster up a single ounce of talent or creativity to save their lives and put the troons in their place, so they go back to complaining and let the cycle continue. They're mad at the Internet because that's the only thing they know how to do.

Unless they have half a brain and know better than to take credit for their professional accomplishments on the (checks notes) most widely banned US-legal website online?

Keep your head down and your nose to the grindstone friends 8)

Can we get an adult cartoon that isn't unfunny shock humor and condescending surface level pseudo intellectual political commentary filled with pop culture references?
