I got very close to purchasing one but then we found out my wife was pregnant with our first born. Little dude saved me a lot of trouble to start his life off

The sheer size of it! it's closer to the original Espace than it is to a Renault 5

I hate to sound like one of those anti-car nutters but the size of modern "super-minis" is getting silly this was the original Renault 5

Speaking of Super Minis, the other day I saw a 'Mini', which was literally the size of a mid-SUV. Granted BMW Minis were already 'Maxi', but this one made me stop and stare.

Im thinking of getting a cheap fucked up insurance auction car to tinker around with and at some point getting up to working order in my free time.

Anyone got any suggestions on a good model to look out for? My only requirements are something somewhat interesting (Not a Ford focus, Altima, so on), something that's going to be easy to find on auction, and not a pickup truck.

If they're still at auctions, something in the Crown Vic/Marauder family. They seem to be at auctions all the time.

I think the coolest idea for a sleeper car would be a 2000s thunderbird with the jaguar s-type r internals, being they share the same engine family albeit a smaller engine for said thunderbird and lincoln ls, but it may or may not be plug and play. If it was just an engine+transmission swap it would probably the best 2000s thunderbird ever
