Y'know what, for as much as we can all hate Google, they at least know not to overly fuck over the plebs.

That said, they have the chance to do the funniest thing if C-22 passes and just prevent Leaf IP from accessing Google services. We'd probably speedrun either a walkback or a collapse, though considering Leaf Politicians I know which I'd put money on...

I feel myself filled with so much hatred these days. Not even living paycheck to paycheck: living debt to debt. These prices on everything are fucking killing me. Going to have to stop using hot water at all at this rate. Fucking 100+ natural gas bill in summer is retarded.

And the grocery stores just keep getting worse. Fuck me, am I not supposed to live? Am I supposed to eat butter sandwiches for the rest of my fucking life?

Tim Hortons is pledging to hire some 10,000 local employees, rolling back its reliance on the temporary foreign worker program.

The coffee chain says 400 hiring events have already taken place throughout March and April, and that the hiring blitz of local team members will continue throughout the year.

It's a bit of a change for the company, which has in the past relied on the temporary foreign worker program to pull in new employees. Tim Hortons says it turned to the foreign worker program following the COVID-19 pandemic in 2021, when the country experienced a shortage of workers.

:story: they really are terrified of Dunkin Donuts taking them for a ride to come out with this as a feeble play to elbows up behaviour. Extra hilarity is knowing they won't be hiring anything of the sort since their holding company loves abusing LMIA and, no matter the public statements contrary, is guaranteed still lobbying to give them preferential treatment. Yeah I never use legal streaming sites nowadays, both because being a pirate is free and how many legal websites are region locked/remove shows due to their licensing expiring (to be honest however, its mostly the former)
