And they refuse to acknowledge that it's probably one of the biggest reasons why we should renegotiate the treaties and how we treat natives, because having them self govern to this extent makes it easy for them to hide the rapes and murders.

Honestly i always saw the argument of "what about the yummy food!?" as just a weird cope to get around them crying and moaning about cultural appropriation for decades when chefs who are native to the country can just learn how to make said food just as well as any immigrant who was making it since they were in the womb. I also don't think they know what actual cultural appropriation is and just think its white guys trying to make Samosa cause they think it sounds tasty.

I think at this point the cons really want a forever leader and refuse to admit maybe Pierre isn't the best choice especially since he's never worked a non politician job his whole life and doesn't have anything to show for his entire career minus losing his seat because he never visited or cared about his district only to win a pity seat even further away from where he works and will also never visit or give a shit about.

President's Choice is the store brand line of various foodstuffs at all Canadian grocery stores owned by Loblaws (No Frills, Zehr's, Real Canadian Superstore, Dominion, Shoppers Drug Mart, etc). It's generally pretty solid for the price and usually a step above things like Walmart Great Value.

Loblaw's stores are kind of weird though because they actually have two tiers of store brand products. The cheaper version is the one literally called No Name:

This guy will run you about $3 CAD at No Frills and the like. No Name is generally for the cheaper lesser quality versions of things, and President's Choice is for the products that are made a little better with higher quality ingredients, often on-par with name brand shit but still cheaper.

$5.79 for margarine does seem real steep though, especially if that image was taken in 2013 like the price tag suggests. That'd be almost $8 CAD today. Might be a picture taken in some northern community where there's no roads and it costs a shitload to fly everything in.

On Jan. 28, 2022, Richmond, B.C., teacher Nicole Kowal-Seafoot told a colleague before a class presentation that, "I might be losing my job today."

More than four years after she lost her job, for a presentation that was in favour of the self-styled "Freedom Convoy," which protested vaccine mandates at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, a labour arbitrator ruled that the Richmond School District's decision was excessive.

Kowal-Seafoot's presentation to her Grade 6 and 7 students featured a caricature of former prime minister Justin Trudeau with his head on a chicken.

It also featured what labour arbitrator Ken Saunders described as a "proportionately large, demonic figure holding a syringe," which Kowal-Seafoot testified was supposed to represent the government, as well as an image of a child with a mask chained to their face.

"Her presentation transgressed the most fundamental obligation not to harm learners," the arbitrator wrote, saying that students were undisputedly emotionally overwhelmed by it.

While Saunders agreed that Kowal-Seafoot "acted with an element of wilful disregard for her obligations" as a teacher, he found that her being fired wasn't justifiable given mitigating factors.
