Didn't Trump get what he wanted? Chunks of Greenland, mineral rights, military bases and de-facto control over the North Atlantic? For literally nothing?

I mean Denmark gets American security guarantees for Greenland and economic development. So it's not completely one-sided.

I wouldn't call that a loss. I'd call that Trump threw out bait, because the left and the media can't help but respond and lose their minds over it. Meant the Danish Government had to take it seriously rather than ignore it. Which led to increasing rhetoric until the Danes were offered an out where they could save face.

It would be hilarious if a majority of jeets vote for Albertan independence because they assume that they'll become American citizens if Alberta joins Amerikkka.

In the end Trump stole the show. There was a flurry of posts on Reddit proclaiming Carney's greatness and portraying him as a leader in the new world order. While not mentioning that he ran away to Switzerland immediately after. That his speech was great! The greatest their ever was given at Davos and no one can remember any of it. But we should take their word, Crooked Carney, is the 21st Century Augustus.

Pretty good chance Canada gets more tarrifs now and I believe Trumps guy already said he's going to fuck Canada on USMCA. All because of a dumb speech. Inevitable Carney response: "Looks like Canada will just have to do more business with China".

Trump didn't like NAFTA in the first place and Canadian business has been getting fat and lazy over selling to the US.

He's gonna want things like banking and telecom being allowed to move cross border. Anyone can run a cable company better than Rogers, it's just getting the 100 million to enter the market that's the hard part. If the big players were allowed to set up shop north of the border and not just as a subsidiary, then they would eventually crush Canadian companies. Which have grown complacent over the decades with their oligopoly.

I'm not saying it's a good thing or bad thing. We would have to wait and see. However, if Bell gets buttfucked I'm not exactly shedding any tears.

Grocery prices are also relatively lower than Americans if you can believe that or not....I have crossshopped groceries and always found Canadian prices to be lower after currency conversion.

I am mostly interested in buttfucking Canadian BANKING cartel.

Canada pays the highest for cell phone : Internet providers.

I don’t believe the prices would go down if American competition entered and took over the Canadian market because they would just charge what people are willing to pay (which are our absurd current prices)

Literally no data we've collected agrees with that, not only is Canada consistently ranked as being in the upper percentile for the most expensive phone/internet plans, surpassing America by placement in most charts, all 3 of said telecom brands are also considered some of the most overpriced too

I don't even have a plan with data & I still have to pay $32-36 on the regular for the cheapest in my area despite barely using it outside of work, major city mind you too.

You just named a bunch of stuff I don't care about nor really need in my current situation, I just want to be able to text & maybe send/recieve images if necessary, why does a basic plan cost me considerably more at the cheapest?

Why are my only options to either pay for an incredibly overpriced basic texting plan, or instead be forced to purchase a still pricey, but slightly more 'affordable' plan with 'additional benefits' I'm not looking for currently

I'm not getting FOMO'd by my fucking phone/internet provider

Most of them don't even get this far they never make it past smug posting on twitter. These are people that have almost never been outside of their city, have no skills and work worthless jobs (if at all), talking about moving countries. Even if it was an open door it wouldn't happen
