I learned recently that my family came over in the 1800's and I'm like 8th generation Canadian. But I guess that doesn't mean shit when it comes to chugs.

Not even just paid less, Jeet slaves who lives in the franchise owner's residential rental property and rent is conveniently charged to leave them with only a couple hundred per month.

Effectively slave labour

See, it’s never a problem until you run out of other people’s money - that’s why I call us a Pyramid Scheme.

I swear, the only people who actively still push for more immigration - outside Politicians and people abusing TFW’s - are either new immigrants themselves (fair enough, they’re at least honest about it) or from the Toronto-Ottawa area where I swear to God there has to be something in the water making them all retarded.

We’re eventually going to reach a breaking point where even setting the money printer to go brrrr won’t be enough to prop up our various social services, and the most amusing will be when the Free Healthcare my fellow Leafs scream about can’t kick the can any further regarding being at its breaking point…

The worst part is remembering a point in my lifetime where it wasn’t complete dogshit. Sure, if you were a non-emergency going to the hospital you had better have brought a book, but that was understandable, they had Priorities. Now that’s just the norm even at a doctors office, assuming you can even get an appointment.

It’s just trying to figure out just when we started kicking the can is the hard part. I want to say it was Covid that was the last big punt the system needed to break had it not been flooded with money to prop it up, and the constant flood of immigration in the years since the Coof has jus added more and more weight to a system staying alive on duct tape and sheer spite.

I think it may just be that they understand how the power dynamics of Canada work on a deeper psychological level.

Canada has three power centers. Montreal/Quebec City area, Toronto, and the Edmonton-Calgary corridor. These power dynamics all come down to population and they want more people in their area to maintain their power.
 
Went to a mall in Brampton last week. Saw maybe one or two other white faces. When I left I had to take a shower because I stunk. I don't know how these people can live like this. Absolutely disgusting.

Disagree, it's less about population and more about paying off interest groups. This country is structurally predicated on Upper Canada and Quebec dominating; having the west grow its population won't matter because, as we saw with the last census cycle, any increase in seat count is immediately met by Quebec and Ontario seeing an equivalent gain even if their populations decreased. Western Canada has no power federally as even for the Cons any government formation runs through Ontario.

Population growth in Canada is all about cheap labour for corporate donors and protecting key union blocks (doctors, nurses, etc.) and none of the major parties are trying to hide it anymore.
 
Canadians have serious entitlement issues. The Canadian dollar is weak at 73 cents to USD, you're going to need to pay a lot more for quality of products and services. We ain't getting quality things as long as our dollar remains weak, when you add the taxes on top of it, plus for imported products, we are in no position to expect premium.

It's just something I notice with Canadians lately, just a complete lack of awareness of our weak currency and how it affects the quality and quantity of our goods and services.
 
My neighborhood is officially free of Jeets. The two Jeet families that lived near me both relocated to the States for work in the last few weeks.

Honestly, Canada is getting better: housing prices are down, gas is cheap, our population is actually down for the first time ever, there are plans to expand our natural resource sector, the average Canadian is becoming more xenophobic and I regularly hear or see people calling out shitty immigrant behavior.

It could be much worse.
