I'm actually unfamiliar with the NDP in Ontario, are they as cucked as the federal NDP or is it more similar to the NDP in B.C where they're really not too different from the fed Liberals except in there messaging and Tone.

I know a couple of grown men who are channeling their anti-American/Trump fury into this series. I'm not against using sports as a proxy for politics on any principle, but sports fans I don't get it guys. National pride in a team that has no one from your nation on it? Paying foreigners to wear your colors and win the game in your city's name?

It's even more absurd to get into a nationalist fever over hockey when half the American teams are Canadians or Euros. And the star players on the Canadian teams are American. I really wish Austin Matthews had scored that winning goal in that four nations tournament last year, Lib-Leaf fans mass suicide.

They are in the world series (the finals) against the LA dodgers atm. Last time they won a series was 1992 and 93, so its kinda a big deal I guess.

Canada doesn't have a common national heritage any longer, so sports teams are the closest thing to cultural bonds. In the past, Canadians used to be bond through our common English, French, and Christian traditions.
