Probably less hilariously enough IMO. One of the big reasons Jeets come here is as a intermediate stop to get into the US (as Canadian employment looks better on H1-B applications than Indian). If the visa pathways shut down a lot of those shit-stained code monkeys won't be making the trek since it's a ubiquitous unspoken fact living here is hell and a lot return home if they cannot secure their golden ticket given how horrendous surviving on scraps in Canada is.

Of course this assumes the other visa pathways (especially NAFTA-specific ones) don't suddenly become loopholes, but at least in terms of tech jobs expect a measure of decline given the main Jeet pathway into the US has had its knees cut off.

Bit hyperbolic, it's not that bad. Tbh I wouldn't necessarily care if White quality of life was magically unimpacted by ethnic replacement, surrendering our nations without any resistance is absolutely pathetic and unacceptable.

minor power leveling but I'm shotgunning shit on indeed and glassdoor trying to get anything going. Working literal gigs on contract. So I can actually get enough of a nest egg for a proper education. And I got nothing. How the fuck do you compete with Jeeters in this country bros.

Unless you have connections that can personally help you get you a job, only answer is to just keep spamming resumes. I've probably sent hundreds at this point since I started using Indeed in 2023. I only landed three jobs (two were temporary). I have PTSD from looking at Indeed's interface at this point because I know when time comes again to find something new I'm going to be anxiously staring at that webpage for hours at a time every day for weeks on end. I hope all the boomers that vote liberal and whine about "no one wanting to work anymore" suffocate on their own spit and kick the bucket finally. But until then keep trying, it's not impossible.

Sorry for the double post.

Don't apply using Indeed. Only use Indeed as a reference point and apply directly on the corporate site. Even small mom and pop operations have a corporate site and if they don't have a careers portal they usually have the name and email of their HR rep for applications.
