It irks me when brownskins talk boastly about the "cleanness" and crime free environment of some of these Gulf coast Arab states.
I recall a conversation I had with an instrumentation/petroleum engineering instructor and he talked about how he taught in one of the Gulf states for a while 20+ years ago. He much preferred teaching Canadian students as they were eager to learn and ask questions. He said the Arab students lacked enthusiasm as they can just live off government cheese and lean on skilled labour Westerners to keep their infrastructure running.

As much as I'd like to mock the gulf states, they do have the right approach to foreign labor. They make no offer of citizenship to foreigners, they do not pretend that the nation exists to serve the foreigners, and foreigners are expected to behave. It's basically the mirror opposite of Canada, which proposes that foreigners have a right to citizenship, take precedence over native born citizens, and that any harm may be inflicted upon the native citizens by foreigners.

A neighbor of my parents is Canadian. She’s elderly and has some serious medical conditions but gets all her medical treatment here in the states. I used to think that was odd. Now I assume it’s because they’ll just recommend MAID and she’d rather get easily obtainable treatment. Incidentally she’s one of the funniest people I’ve ever met.
