I read something a while back, can't find it now, that said that an elderly pajeet could move to Canada, qualify for government payments, then move back to India and still receive payments.
I don't doubt it. When I was on welfare, I had to log into an online portal every month and it asked me:
  • Did you leave the province in the past 30 months?
  • If so, for how long?
If you left the province for a prolonged period of time, you'd stop getting welfare. There's no actual verification that you stayed in the province. As long as you say that you didn't leave, you'll keep getting welfare benefits. The only time you ever have to talk to someone from the welfare office is once (or rarely twice) a year about your plans for the future.

If someone wanted to, they could go on welfare, leave the country, and never tell the welfare office. They'd keep getting benefits. The welfare offices and the bureaucrats that work in them are very overworked and they don't have the time or prerogative to actually check in on welfare recipients. This was back in 2022 though, so I'm assuming like everything else in Canada, it's gotten way worse since then.

Saw a segment on The National last night about a NGO that helps people "not use alone" and the great tragedy of the piece is supposed to be that the founder only used alone. The sister of the founder looks like a boomer dyke punk trying to look "cool" but just reminds me why punk is for losers.

Canada deserves to die under a flood of Chinese fentanyl and jeet shit.

Meanwhile as for tariff news the segment they had on it had to admit that it made $65 billion for the American govt this year alone and said outright that the American consumer will pay more for luxury goods and there is a recession projected for Canada next year.

Elbows Up is also hilarious considering it originates from Gordie Howe, who spent almost all of his pro hockey career in the USA and with Detroit particularly in the NHL.

I will admit, this is a badly designed system because it relies on the government checking up on the trust system after money has been dolled out

But the government actually does check up on this on occasion or with cause.

Source: Crossover from one of my old jobs was watching people commit fraud similar to this, where they'd fuck off to the US, Europe, South of France, etc

and even during the pandemic with the retard checks being given, the government clawed back a lot of what was given out under 'false' applications and had people pay them back.

If you want to be malicious and you see someone abusing the system, while claiming welfare- you could actually contact revenue canada and submit a complaint.

Punk is kind of for losers aesthetically. The only good punks are the ones like Rollins who kept the ethos, but who you just see cruising around in a black t-shirt, going to the gym, and living a hard normal life. Anyone who thinks punk is the aesthetic and builds their entire personality around it past their mid-20s is a loser. Punk isn't goth, its not a fashion subculture, or shouldn't be one. It should be more an attitude, and even then its not a recalcitrant or edgy one. Its best expressed when its working class, and not tolerating bs from both hippie wannabes and linkedin clout chaser types

I feel this should be talked about here as well; you might have seen that Youtube has said starting August 13th it will be asking for IDs using AI to figure out if accounts are an adult or not. They just did it to Canadians.

Accelerationism here isn't just 'push the pendulum so far left, it forces only one option.

Its basically, let the libs own their mistakes;

maybe things get so bad that the Indians leave or stop seeing Canada as a good place (sincerely doubt on that one, but it may be a proxy benefit)

but really, its for the zoomers and young people, as others have pointed out. The same way when the NDP was in power in Ontario in the 90s and boomers wouldn't shut up about "Ray days"

I want people, and especially zoomers, to remember this. The boomers are dumb, theyre delusional, their slogans are in the middle of nowhere;

and this is what happens, literally, when you pimp your country out to corporate interests and diversity. The hope is, the next generation will see what the culimination of the liberal project was, and be forced to reject it. But thats just the hope for the far future anyways. Elbows up in the meantime.
Accelerationism won't work because Liberal Democracy will shed democracy before it sheds liberalism.

Look at the UK and what they're doing- the moment they feel threatened they'll never allow conservatives back in and will go full 1984, even if renouncing globohomo and mass immigration is simpler and actually beneficial.

That being said, if the US manages to retain a Republican government through 2028, perhaps there could be an American expeditionary force into Canada?

It might be a search and rescue force if the economy implodes

Has anyone brought up how Filthy and Disgusting Toronto Hospitals are? I’m not sure if it is like this for other cities, but my Aunt went to the hospital for a leg infection and the hospital she went to had literal Third World Country living conditions and people being neglected in the hallways. Another great job from the people in Toronto.

Yes.

Yes.

And yes.

It's been been talked about to death & everyone here knows it, but it really can't be emphasized enough:

Domestic tariffs aren't paid by foreign exporters, they are paid by YOU the citizen in higher purchasing costs for imports.

So all those MAGA morons south of the border cheering on Trump everytime he bleats about raising tariffs higher & higher can't do the simple math that the $65 billion raised (and immediately wasted on government pork) was a tax directly on your on CoL

Tariffs only benefit you domestically if it reshores local manufacturing. Which in Canada, hasn't happened at all & won't. While the American case is similarly dubious but at least possible in theory.

Has anyone brought up how Filthy and Disgusting Toronto Hospitals are?

I recall years ago going to visit a dying loved one on the cancer ward.

Their IV drip was MacGyvered to function by an elastic band strapping a plastic fork from the cafeteria to the pole.

Which is why counter tariff is retarded. Canada's economy of scale is just too small.

Prices will go up in the short term but will collapse once the demand tapers off.

Then Canada is in a deep shit.

Sounds about right. IIRC the scam worked because the elderly fraudster would have a relative still living in Canada, my guess is to act as a "local" to handle the phone interviews and paperwork with the welfare office to make it appear the person was still there.

Allowing pajeets to leave India is the biggest mistake in modern history. It will be all of our downfalls.

Domestic tariffs aren't paid by foreign exporters, they are paid by YOU the citizen in higher purchasing costs for imports.

We all know that by this point. But it also stifles purchases from the countries under tariff which provides them less revenue than before. In some cases I'm fine with this. I remember Duhhhhbya Bush saying that opening up trade with China would force them to become a democracy in the long run. It didn't. They're arguably more powerful and dangerous than they were in 2000.

And now, 25 years later, I can't find the random "made in usa" construction parts I could still find back in 2000. Lots of oddball electrical, plumbing and construction supplies were still domestic up until the last decade or so. China purposely killed that by unfairly subsidizing their industries until ours collapsed, you don't think the next step in their plan is to cut us off now that we no longer have our own suppliers?

And their obsession with Taiwan is borderline insane, like a hyper-jealous ex-boyfriend. China has more opportunity than ever to do way more productive things than worry about one tiny island that claims to still be the real China. But they obsess about it despite it not being all that important in the grand scheme of things.

And don't get me started about China unfairly pegging its dogshit currency to ours for decades which fucked over generations of young Americans. Oh well, we got "cheap" technology out of it--the same technology thats currently frying the brains of the youngest generations. Oh boy, what a great tradeoff. Maybe we should've allowed that technology to slowly integrate organically. No, I don't want to use my cell phone to scan a QR code to view your goddamn menu and I don't care if some pajeet CEO doesn't get paid if QR codes FINALLY DIE.

And plenty of European countries benefitted from the post cold-war period of America being way to nice. Now most of those countries aren't even European now by race. Its the new middle east filled with violent shit skins and most of the population is fine with that.

I don't like tariffs either but I don't like all the bullshit scams the worlds been running on us for decades. No, American's aren't the only ones who suffer from them, we're just the ones that pay. The exporters suffer to. The workers suffer. Time for all of you foreigner's who took advantage of us to suffer. Enjoy.

America is not some economic zone for the world to exploit it's time to pay the fuck up. Ones who are the least cooperative get the highest tariff, like Canada.

Should have been a lot higher.

And the tariff on India should include services like out-sourcing call centers. We should also be passing laws prohibiting ANY personal data from being transmitted to these shithole countries. Thats where the scams start.

Trump and the GOP are to cowardly to do these things despite many of us, including MAGA, demanding it.

Been quietly stalking X and the usual gaggle of idiots defending Carney are moving the goalposts again to make it look like a win. Some are staying it is because he's not "giving in" to extortion and intimidation while others are claiming it was never a big deal in the first place because it only affects non-USCMA goods (around 10-15% of exports). If that were the case, then why did they treat it like an existential threat months earlier? The truth is that a plurality voted for Carney's Liberals because he promised that he was the only one with the necessary skills to negotiate a deal with Trump. The truth is that the UK, Japan, EU, and others managed to negotiate deals with the Trump administration. Maybe not so beneficial for them, but better than if they took a hardline stance.

Canada. Canada has shown an uncanny affinity for inflicting self-harm on itself for the last decade for the most absurd of reasons. First it was for virtue signaling and validation from Trudeau's UN/WEF cohorts, and now it's solely out of spite for one man. Our ruling class are unserious ideologues and too much of the populace is either too apathetic, ignorant, or complacent (or some combination of the three) to truly hold the elites to account. What they want is to keep the decaying status quo intact. Carney's Liberals most likely bungled this because they expected the US to accede to our demands without giving any concessions in return. They better hope that protecting the dairy cartel was worth it.

There can be verification for some benefits, but it gets challenging with jeets because of how ties to countries or provinces work. Realistically, when they will take a closer look is when someone tries to backdate something, usually filing 5+ years of taxes.
