I know people think Trump is all over the place (he isn’t, he’s pretty consistent if people pay attention) but this Carney guy seems to have no actual policy on anything. It’s bizarre.

The issue is that all of the bad actors from the Trudeau era that contributed to it being a clown show are still there in Carney's government.

So what are the chances that the 42069 IQ move of the Block and Conservatives tanking the election to make Carney PM ends up biting them if Carney somehow manages to dig himself out of the Trudeau-sized shithole the previous administration made? Or is Carney's ego too much that he'll still find a way to do just the status quo to continue flushing Canada down a literal toilet?

Carney is going to fill his pockets and the pockets of his friends and run out the back door while screaming it was actually Trump's fault and this country will buy it hook, line and sinker.

Its a pretty low chance, the conservatives genuinely bungled things, and its systematic more than personal. You don't just go from 31 million Canadians to 40 million Canadians since the start of covid, and not have major demographic, and therefore voting, change.

Cuckservatives have to cater to the Indians to some degree. All the parties do. Its just that we have reached the point where the 'opposition' to immigration has effectively been captured, and unless the indians start voting against their own interests (ie, barring their countrymen from entering)

which they wont, because half the slumlords in Brampton are Indians exploiting Indians,

the conservative party is also finished.

Yeah, its basically this. The bootlicking liberals will blame Trump uniquely for everything thats gone bad in the country, and I just don't care.

Sure, he contributed to a degree, or you could say even hammered the final nail in (arguably though, Pierre may have negotiated better, Trump famously despises the Trudeau regime considering how much these people shat on him)

but the boat was sinking well before Trumps tariffs, and while there are a plethora of structural issues,

number 1 and foremost for me is always 'millions of Indians'. Literally, millions of Indians, what the fuck. Not a single issue voter, but so many of our problems stem from them and center around them (the job market, the housing market, the cost of living crisis, etc), that someone tackling that one single issue would automatically get me their vote enthusiastically, regardless of my own political positions and views on the party.

President Donald Trump on Friday said the United States is immediately “terminating ALL discussions on Trade with Canada” in response to Ottawa’s decision to impose a digital services tax on American tech firms.

Trump’s surprise announcement on Truth Social accused Canada of “copying the European Union” with the “egregious” tax.



“We will let Canada know the Tariff that they will be paying to do business with the United States of America within the next seven day period,” Trump added.

Any articles I can find on this don't state who is providing the money and what interest rate. It is also for the entirety of the EU that 258 billion CAD covers. So every member of the EU and Canada is signed onto it, with Ukraine probably eating the lion's share. It's mostly symbolic.

It is also for the procurement of European weapons and equipment. Which is going to be substandard. We buy US equipment, because it is good, they live next door and it has been proven in combat. European equipment has not been proven in combat, has extremely limited runs and is boutique. I imagine very little will be purchased from money coming from this fund.
 
Another year of not celebrating Canada Day. Ah, kind of sad. Used to really enjoy it when I was a kid, seeing the mounties and having ice cream and going out for the fireworks.

Is it the politics that's made everything so gloomy since the pandemic? No one really smiles anymore and everyone I speak to is stressed out of their minds. Vitamin D supplements aren't curbing what has become yearlong depressions. Is it really even a first world country if people can't afford food or housing or education? Those are Africa-tier problems.
