People that only pay attention during an election are usually the most vocal.

I think politics in general is pure evil. They're all two-faced liars. It's important to pay just enough attention to remember what they've lied about, but not enough to actually get sucked into their sphere of bullshit. (This applies to all parties)

I feel like the camera man in this video when I read through this thread. Just a combination of pity, disgust, and confusion as I think to myself "I know they're retarded, I know they're going to do this, but what the fuck?"

Seeing polymarket having those odds is definitely a gut punch, but this isn't over, I still think that Pierre can ek out a Minority with potential BQ support if he gains enough seats.

Possibly, but that news report of Trump making the 51st state comment in a call with Carney hitting the news is certainly strategically timed. I assume it is an attempt to make the remaining people froth at the mouth and vote Liberal out of spite. Possibly because internal polling isn't looking good. But that might just be me being optimistic.

It has to be internal polling. You can even see that the public polls are really starting to tighten in this last weekend. Mark Carney's honeymoon is starting to end before he's even elected

Didn't polymarket start to be gamed by the Democrats close to the US election where they spent an enormous amount of money to tip the odds into their favor, thinking that would somehow affect the election?

It could go either way. Carney's been riding high on the perception that he was the diplomatic supergenius 'reigning in' Trump and its now been outed that Trump's just been clowning on him this whole time like he did with Trudeau. People could just as easily see him as impotent. Either way I agree it does feel like a conveniently coordinated hail-mary.
