I made the mistake of scouring X and Reddit and I feel like I have terminal depression now.
I've stopped perusing r/Canada and the local/provincial boards for this reason. Almost every political thread is botted and/or astroturfed, especially the polling crap, making it hard to even get an accurate read on the usual Redditor retardation. Ironically the Globe and Mail comment sections are a suitable intermediary (as the Liberal shills in them are legitimate true believers), provided they haven't paywalled the relevant articles.

As an accountant you can always tell what client's are liberal NPCs because they are the ones taking advantage of the Digital news subscription tax credit and subbing to the Globe and Mail.

Maybe just speaking for myself, but there are some former lifelong liberals who are leaning towards voting conservative this time, we're just very quiet about it. Not participating in reddit threads or "liking" anything on social media, not getting polled, not even talking about it amongst friends and colleagues. Just quietly waiting.

Don't get all doom and gloom quite yet.

this was an issue i remember hearing about 10 years ago where doctors from the third world found them selfs driving cabs while paying for Canadian medical school, instead of just getting straight to work,
most canadians are ignorant of how loose the integrity of their academic systems are over there, you could probably just pay your professor to pass all your exams, i would much prefer a Canadian doctor to an indian one and i think anyone would
The problem with automatically granting immigrants jobs in the healthcare system which reflect their chosen degree back home is that 2nd and 3rd world countries often don't have the same standards of education as ones in the West do. (Or used to before DEI got involved.)

There was an example from the British news thread where a woman had gone to the hospital because she had a condition known as Polycystic Ovary Syndrome. For those that don't know, this syndrome causes hormonal imbalances, irregular periods and painful cysts in the women who suffer from it.

This woman was worried she had contracted an infection that she had had before, and was related to the PCOS. The Indian doctor listened to her comments, then blankly asked her "What are ovaries?"

I'm all for helping immigrants with medical backgrounds resume their trained career. But Canada needs to make sure they are fully trained by Canada standards.

And right now, as evident by looking LITERALLY ANYWHERE, they are not doing that.

my compromise would be that they should have to take a ultra comprehensive exam that would prove without a doubt they are up to western standards of medicine.
i do think its kind of unfair that if they actually did spend upwards of 10 years becoming a doctor only to have to do all that over again when they could just spend a year doing the super exam.

We’ve already got Indian immigrants faking driver’s licensing exams. I can see a way this idea could get compromised in the same way.

i imagine it would be more difficult than becoming a truck driver
Haven't you seen clips of those diploma mills where they cheat endlessly, the teachers know about it but they just have to accept it so the uni gets their money. They'll just find a way to cheat more. The simplest option is to not waste resources on such a sad race.

look, its just an idea i had to solve a problem, in my head this place wouldn't be a strip mall college, its just a thought, is that ok with you duder?

why couldn't the holocaust been for the pajeets, then literally no one would have given a shit. granted 6 gorrillion jeets is pretty much nothing in the grand scheme of things. barely a drop in the bucket for this curry nigger population

Speaking of Indian drivers I was driving the 401 through Toronto Sunday night and every car going 100 (below the flow of traffic) in the left lane (middle lane when the far left is a HOV lane) was a Jeet driver when I looked over to pass them from the right lane.

It seems like Jeets driving passenger vehicles are the most beta of betas while Jeets driving semis are super reckless and unsafe.

They're letting 18-25 year olds drive Semis... damn.

I've complained about it already here a few times, but I had to do the same thing with the much more RW-leaning r/Canada_sub.

It used to be my go-to for skimming RW-relevant Canadian news headlines, but it's become insufferable with spamming Carney/Poilievre junk articles top-to-bottom since the writ drop.

I'm sure lawn signs are an awful metric, but even just walking dogs around different parts of my riding, the number of Conservative signs is at least a little bit whitepilling.

In a riding that I don't think the Conservatives have ever held, or at least not in relevant memory.

While admittedly not reading the case, I would guess that the British article was histrionically overselling the severity of the patient's Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) for feminism & sensationalism reasons.

PCOS is essentially metabolic syndrome in women. They are fat, the condition gives them pseudo-diabetes/insulin resistance, literally makes them hairy, makes their periods stop or very irregular, makes them infertile, literally turns their skin nigger brown, etc.

Long-story short, PCOS = ham beast, even if it's a genetic quirk and no fault of their own.

The "polycystic ovaries" part of the condition is mostly an ultrasound pathognomonic visual identifier that has very little relevance to the actual condition. The condition is much more related to a predominance in the production and effects of male-type androgen hormones than the female estrogenic ones.

Ovarian cysts themselves can certainly be painful, but their clinical relevance in terms of serious health dangers, particularly in it being bad enough for hospitalization, is basically underheard of.

Trying to sell something on Facebook Marketplace and pretty much all I get are fucking sand niggers and curry monkeys trying to rip me off with some scam. "I'm out of town for 4 days, can I pay you half to hold it until I get back". Gonna try and some fucking bullshit etransfer scam with me? Worse is they're bots, so calling them slurs don't even get anyone upset.
Is there any way you can accept the money from them and sell it to an actual Canadian? Can you say something like, "No saar, I will not hold it for you saar unless you paypal me $50" and then take the money and run? I don't think you will get in trouble; their culture holds that if you're scammed you're a retard who deserved it.

Lowering other country standards is not the answer.
""They"" seem to think it is *sigh*

I don't even fully blame the immigrants who are just looking for a better life. It's the pajeets and the white liberal Jessica's who work at Health Canada & the CNO who are making these policy decisions to cut corners and put immigrants to work faster faster faster. They're either ignorant to the lowered standard of care (because indian medical schools are just as hecking valid as canadian ones you bigot!!!) or they think it's just a small price to pay to get more warm bodies working in hospitals. They truly think this is what will "save" our collapsing healthcare system.

You see, Canadian nurses have gotten a little too uppity; they actually want their salaries to keep up with inflation and they demand safe patient assignments and union-mandated breaks... big headache and not possible under our current system. So the solution is to replace Katie with Pooja. Pooja will accept a heavy 10 patient med-surg assignment no questions asked; she'll skip her breaks and accept minimum wage, cause that's better than what they're paying in india. Sure Pooja doesn't wear deodorant and her (white) patients can barely understand her (her majority brown patients understand her just fine though!!) but who cares, she is subservient, will never make "demands", and there's a neverending supply of automatons just like her.

They did this to us during/immediately after covid: shuffling nurses around (e.g. putting mother-baby nurses to work in long term care, or putting operating-room nurses to work in the ICU) despite different specialties having vastly different knowledge and training. (((They))) just wanted warm bodies with a pulse to fill the "staffing gaps"... 'a nurse is a nurse is a nurse'. Now they're stuffing foreign nurses into canadian institutions despite vastly different knowledge and training. Same shit different pile.

Health Canada and CNO are meant to protect the public.... the whole thing makes me crazy.

Well on the plus side maybe this will eventually lead to private healthcare as our system becomes increasingly mediocre. In a country like India everyone knows the public hospitals are shit, so if they have money they use the private ones that have better standards. As we quickly become Artic India, I am sure we will inevitably adopt the same system.
Hopefully we get South Korean pricing and not American pricing
