The sunshine list is retarded in 2025, if it exists at all it should be 200K as a 200K salary is the new 100K. Slight power level but when I was a municipal firefighter the sunshine list would often come up during our CBA negotiations because our captains who ride on every truck were closing in on the 100K mark and many were in favor for spreading out the pay package amongst pension and other benefits in order to avoid having their names published on the sunshine list. You would think most people don't mind firefighters getting a fair wage and while that is mostly true among general citizenry, amongst other municipal workers, particularly the pencil pushers there is often a tangible jealousy or hatred for firefighters.

Considering the difference in the enthusiasm gap between the two candidates I still think Pierre has it in the bag.

I won't be cucking and voting for Pierre though. Just can't bring myself to do it.

I'm not about to get into it on KiwiFarms. Would suggest people use a tax law firm for consqeuential specific advice to their situation and privilege in addition to a CPA, or firms with their own CPAs. Either way its babbling jeets at the CRA deciding your past and present activity if you return and even if its more favorable than it should be, its not binding on jeets and open to reassesment any time.

Right Blend (formerly Patriot Smoothie) is an interesting character. He essentially hustled his way into being a citizen journalist by pure force of will and showing up. He did a lot of on-the-ground daily reporting from courthouses and protests for anything Convoy related.

He also puts his money where his mouth is. During the convoy in Ottawa, he was an underemployed guy. He personally spent any disposable income he had to make runs to Crappy Tire and the grocery store to buy supplies to personally deliver them to the truckers on the freezing streets. I remember seeing him post the actual receipts at the time.

There was also a video of him at the time heckling CBC reporters on the icy street corners of downtown Ottawa.

I still think he's a little naive politically though. He's really passionate, but from what I gather he seems to have fallen into the "we have to get the Libs out" PP supporting Twitter crew instead of the "They have to go home/Bernier isn't radical enough" dissident right.

Some of the "Natives not looking like natives" has to do with geography in Canada much like it does in the US.

Native physiognomy looks more feral the farther West and North you go. The Aboriginals from the Maritimes and Newfoundland (minus Labrador) were essentially demographically replaced out of existence. The ones in Quebec and Southern Ontario too have been too racemixed and domesticated to truly be a separate racial and cultural group.

But as one travels further north to the James Bay coast, to the northern parts of BC & the Prairies, to the Territories, Indians who were mostly kept away from huwhites by simple geography mostly still look and act like savages.

Roman Baber was really brave and based for awhile during COVID regarding restrictions and mandates, writing up a Jerry Maguire-like manifesto with some statistics very milquetoastly pondering if his Doug Ford Ontario government was doing the right thing. And was unceremoniously turfed as a PC MPP in the subsequent days.

Unfortunately, he's largely fallen into irrelevancy since declaring his intention to run for the federal Conservative leadership spot against Poilievre over the summer of 2022.

I believe he ended up with single digit support.

Instead of doing something radical like joining Bernier as his second-in-command so he could continue to rail against COVID harms and other third rail topics. Baber chose the safe & cowardly normie root of "I'm going to try to change the party from the inside" after essentially being fired and betrayed by PP 1.0 in Doug Ford's Ontario PC Party.

I believe he is also a Russian Jew, which means that he's never going to address the JQ and is a limited hangout.

I used to pop into the r/canadasub to get my dose of Canadian news without all the gaslighting and faggotry.

But it's become insufferable as well where the entire frontpage is essentially "Carney is Hitler / PP will save us"

Oh shit, I'm actually familiar with PatriotSmoothie. I used to post very often on another tiny forum that's very similar to KiwiFarms but specifically for Canadian politics. He regularly used that website and was a really good poster there. Nice guy too. I didn't even realize that was him. Good to see he's doing well.
