And it's not even that big of savings. 2.15% reduction to make the base rate 12.75%? Wow I'm definitely eager to reap the rewards of that when inflation consumes it within a day. It's outright insulting and only beaten in terms of Laurentian arrogance by Carney's 1% reduction. Oh and of course neither tax cut will actually happen - it'll be sidelined and forgotten about the moment the election is over.

Only one of them unfortunately, he rejected the TVA debate which is even more Quebec-centric than the official CBC French debate. Still not a good look though; IIRC the TVA debates draw equal to greater numbers than CBC's and reinforces Carney is scared of his French speaking skills.

The Canadian Constitution allows for discrimination based on language, you can easily thin out Third World numbers just by increasing requirements.

The Cons are basically a western regional party at this point. The Maritimes are filled with too many ancient retirees to develop anything like that. Maybe if the Irvings got well and truly pissed off with Ottawa you'd see something.

Even the Liberals which historically are the party of the French. Are the party of Montreal to Toronto. The NDP are the party of hippies and natives demanding gibs. With our system that is what they have devolved into. Which is really why you don't see things like east to west trade. Why Ottawa always seems to be targeting the hinterland with it's economic policies. First the Maritimes, then the West starting in the 20th century.

You might see some flipping in Toronto, but as immigration floods those ridings it will become an ethnic spoils system as to who wins.

I would wait until the end of the year to judge. Trump just revoked the status of 500,000 illegals Biden flew in and have 30 days to self-deport or get deported. He also has to fight liberal governors and activist judges who are slowing him down. Once those cases get squashed ICE raids will increase.

They have an insanely high immigration rate, the largest Muslim population in Europe both by raw numbers and percentage, and actively suppress Russian nationalist movements that advocate to promote the integrity of the ethnic Russian population.
