Consumer Carbon Tax is being not collected. The rest of the carbon tax is still being levied and collected. You just aren't simply seeing it on your bills, for the moment.

Is it because conservatives are fucking liars who say that they're all about the economy, and then tank the stock market within a fucking month, while taking a shit on every ally they ever had and making their country an international laughingstock? :thinking:
 
Years ago there was a Mexican beauty guru who faced a lot of criticism for coming to the U.S illegally as a child. Some woman, a hater, made a video on YouTube (of course it's long gone and taken down) that explained the hostility towards this woman and illegal immigration in general. This was really an eye opening moment for me. She talked about how illegal immigration devalues an entire economy and should never be condoned.

At this time (this was 2012) I didn't understand why Americans where so pissed off by the Mexican illegal immigrant issue. I thought "if they just pick fruit and mop s floor without their papers who cares?". But my eyes were opened after listening to this video. It lowers the wages for everyone.

I truly believe Donald Trump was primarily elected in 2016 motivated Soley for this reason.

Now as Canadians we understand what mass immigration and illegal immigration does to our economy and standard of living. It destroys it.

Another problem with any public gibs system is that the ones sucking the vast majority of the resources are the ones contributing essentially nothing - demented seniors at the end of life, the poor, drug addicts, the mentally ill, criminals, immigrants, people on welfare, etc.

But the average taxpayer normie doesn't notice all the freeloaders until they go try to cash in their chit to use the system they've been funding and assume it's still there in the event of an emergency or a late-life cancer diagnosis themselves.

About a decade ago, the medical associations used to public their own parallel fee guide on what they recommend their members charge to uninsured patients who presented to them because the government fee schedule hadn't kept pace with inflation for decades.

The multiplier was something like 2.5x what the government would pay out at the time, but was before the COVID money printer inflation hit.

At the time, the government was only paying 30-35$ for a comprehensive family doc or walk-in clinic visit, so the professional associations were advising to charge more like 75-100 for Americans or FOBs who showed up at your counter.

In the US, hospitals are bankrupted by illegals and poor scumfucks who use the ER as a primary clinic because the hospital can't turn you away for refusing to pay. Someone has to pick up the bill for this, so it ends up driving up the cost of healthcare for the rest of the hospital. A microcosm of what every universal healthcare system faces.

In short, cash-based healthcare is king if you're healthy and not poor as shit. Old people and gimmegrants loathe the notion of simply paying for what they take because they're already not paying their share of the bill. Bureaucratic waste seems almost paltry compared to the inherent discrimination healthy people face under insurance/universal healthcare systems. Kill welfare, and the parasites will leave the host.

Excellent post. In addition, another issue is gimmigrants bring over their elderly extended family into the country to siphon from services they have never paid into. I hate to say it, but it is beginning to look like the only solution to the West's problems is a civil war. I dream of the day when white liberal traitors are hanging from lamp posts.

Japan was far more brutal than Germany and Asia is as self-interested as ever.

I don't think its bullshit, and certainly I think our points are more aligned than you think. I probably should have mentioned the indoctrinated self hate propaganda we have been imbued with throughout our academic careers.
