Aight so USMCA goods are "likely" getting a tariff reprieve until April 2nd… the spectacle continues… enjoy the show!

Found this video on Telegram, the formatting is autistic but the dude speaking makes some pretty good points, and reminded me that the Carbon Tax is increasing this April. It answers a lot of questions regarding the response to the tariffs.
Interesting; good catch.

Wonder where he's getting 23% from? Perhaps that is provincial + federal.

According to my research, carbon tax is going up 18.75% federally—with provinces able to implement surcharges/rebates accordingly.

Same thing happened in Europe with all the good (imported) vodka when the spehsul oooperayshun started haven't seen Russian Standard for 3 years now, they didn't event wait for it to sell out they took that shit off the shelves because it got recalled from the top on down, means they're anticipating long term disruption and wanted to cash in the returns while they still can.
It happened in Canada too. We had to stand with Ukraine

I bought a bottle of this Canadian brand that had the Ukrainian colours and it was shit vodka

Walking through a parking lot and seeing a car with a "Canada Is Not For Sale" hat on the hood really set me off because, seriously, where the fuck were you when Canada was being sold out to the Chinese and Indians?!
we have gun violence? Is that an eastern Canada thing?
No, it's a big city and reservations thing.

I met a white boomer who insisted on having a pajeet deal with their problem today because "they're harder working".
Gave my mother a lift the other day since she wasn't really in the mood to drive herself. After nearly getting a fifth semi smashing into the side of my car, she talks about how there aren't any competent semi-truck drivers. However, once I bring up how it's because we're importing a slave class of Indians, she see seemed very adamant about how I should "focus on the road".

LoL, they just talk big when it is public and "allowed enemies". But where are the tough sons of a bitches with the takeover of "Chinese" Columbia, and Western Canada + the SaaRs CORHANDU-infinitum takeover?

Seeing Danielle Smith talk tough with Team Canada talking points pisses me off as much as Justin’s bullshit at this point. I can barely be on the internet right now.

On the plus side, I have not seen one local retailer acknowledge this horseshit with a “made in Canada” sign or performative bourbon removal, and local irl people here don’t seem to be scrutinizing labels beyond price checks and calorie counts.

So I’m just checking in sporadically. I hear they are going to ban a bunch more guns tomorrow. I assume this is just to make Justin feel better, they haven’t seized a single weapon yet.

Was dogsitting the other night, so took a late night walk through the neighbourhood for the first time in awhile.

It was like a bizarro Freedom convoy 3 years later where the shitlib houses phonebooked themselves by suddenly hanging a Canadian flag from a pole on their front stoop.

Popped out for groceries for the first time in weeks. There's tons of new gawdy and obstructive "Made in Canada with domestic and imported ingredients" makeshift signs jutting out of the displays.

At one place, there was a precanned PSA announcement playing on the overhead encouraging customers to check out their identifed domestic fare, but also had a waiver that authenticity couldn't be guaranteed as it would take weeks for them to confirm the accuracy???
