I'm sure some parts of Canada may join Russia. Those parts should be somewhat stable.
 
I find it amazing how all of Western civilization and its millennia of history was thoroughly flushed down the toilet in a mere 75 years.
 
Literally the only thing tying me to Canada is my parents. Once they're gone, I have no reason to stay in this country.
 
Trudeau is freezing GST on food, alcohol, Christmas decorations, books, toys, video games, and kids' clothing from December 14-February 14. It's dumb that it's starting 10 days before Christmas and going into the months people tend not to shop. I guess he thinks he won't take as much of a beating, but you just know the malls will be stupid in January and February.
 
I hate gimmicky bullshit like this. I now have to pay my accountant to answer questions about how to invoice my clients. December 14 is in the middle of my billing cycle. Do I charge GST for work performed Dec 1-13, even though my invoice for the whole month goes out in January? And if the bare trust and covid bullshit of the last few years is any indicator, the accountants won’t know either.

And I’m not having to reprogram a POS system. I will have to do something retarded with my accounting software to capture expenses I am sure.

Also, carbon tax goes up Jan 1 on schedule, and that’s going to have a bigger impact- on everything.

Also what happens to retailers between now and then? People are broke enough to return current purchases to wait for the tax break next month- there will be an overhang of demand crashing in during the holiday season. I feel for small businesses barely hanging on, their sales are going to crater for the next three weeks.

These liberals are so fucking retarded you can tell none of them have had a real job. I hate it here. The medications don’t work.
 
Why not just reduce the GST by 1% across the board? Why the gay whitelist?

Why 2 months?

Why the means testing on the $250? Stupid. All of it is stupid.

Harper was supposed to be the great evil that turned Canada into the land of unregulated greed but he was just... Bland. I literally noticed no change in my quality of life when he was PM. Rent was cheap, housing wasn't insane outside of inflated real estate hot zones like Vancouver and immigration was nothing like it is today. It was also pretty easy to get a job both low and high skill.

Too bad. I'm not going to harp over the past too much because it's not going to ever come back.

and its not gonna do shit. a vast majority of grocieries are already gst exempt, and they are fucking up way more than 5-13%. some stuff has literally tripled in price. The nignogs are not even going to roll out the 250$ rebate during the holidays when people could really use it, but in march. just like the grocery rebate, its a desparate attempt to buy votes. They are 100% capable of rolling it out in a month or so, but won't. my guess is that they are dangling this carrot to see if they can fool people into voting for them in 2025. what i think he's going to do is the same bs during the pandemic. he's just going to extend it until october 2025 and not renew it if he wins the election.
personally, saving 5% on mcdonalds or grocery store candy is not gonna do shit for me as dropping my grocery bill, rent, utilities and other cost of living items will. talk to me when i either can afford to spend 5$ on a loaf of bread, or get it back down to 3 or 4 bucks.

I suppose Canada is uniquely atrocious in many ways, but the question is where to go. The UK and many EU countries are almost as bad right now (the UK might actually be worse, in many ways). I suppose those people with valuable degrees might have a shot in making it to the US. The world is so hellish and scary right now; even moreso for those without much in the way of credentials.
 
Oh how I love the smell of desperation on a government that is as popular as genital herpes. It speaks to how much of trust fund brat Trudeau is. He believes that he could buy affection and friendship, but it's far too late. The majority of Canadians want to see him gone and other world leaders are weary of this sanctimonious and unserious jackass.

The way I see all of these changes in Trudy's policy is it will only push his opponents to one-up him somehow, which only leads to more populist policies for us. Before his patronizing little youtube video, net-zero immigration for a few years seemed like it would never happen without some sort of revolution.
 
Everyday things just get worse and worse in this shithole country. I wish I could leave but I have no money and no worthwhile skills. I guess im staying here till im killed in the soon to be societal collapse.
 
I’m stuck here because of family; more than likely going to move to Alberta. It’s still in Canada, but things are less shitty in Alberta.

And once I’m in Alberta, I’m going full in to support WEXIT.
