I do really love how the rest of the west is speedrunning US immigration history. you guys are roughly in the year 2000. the charismatic lib gets replaced by a conservacuck who doesn't bother fixing anything because of a combination of bigger fish to fry and secretly supporting most of these policies. you all already realize the two year degree is worthless and all the jobs for "teens" have been taken, now its all the jobs for the non-university plebs to get taken. Either this year or next year you should start seeing pop culture that is immigrant centric, i'm surprised they haven't proposed canadian entertainment dollars spent exclusively on making programs for the pajeets. the way shits going you all might get your trump in around 2035.

Also this idea of "if this place gets shitty enough they'll leave" is wrong because if you think things are bad in canada, they're worse in the home country. the great recession might have been rough for people in canada but they literally fucking starved to death in india. plus there's the idea that because it took so much effort to immigrate to canada already, they can't abandon it. On the bright side, Quebec seems really cool. the women there seem pretty attractive.

The Cons are not going to make substantial cuts to immigration. A cut from 500k a year to 250k is not happening. Best case scenario is a crackdown on International Student and TFWs.

That's why I said literally the only difference between them is the way in which they choose to interfere in your life.

The only way things are actually changing is if people get fed up enough to clean house, and vote in another party.

And we can’t dare make it a race thing, no. The only race that is allowed to be addressed negatively are the whites. Only white people are allowed to have their race unfairly questioned, bigot.

There isn’t a government solution anymore. The writing is on the wall. Doesn’t take a genius to peek behind the curtain realize there isn’t much to actually see.

I assume they will just try to make us racist towards only the darker skinned southern Indians.
 
That's what I'm seeing, but its just Indians trying to be like "have you tried casteism?"

Two things: Indians at best are the worst Jewish stereotype, or the worst stereotype of black people, there's no inbetween. Either you get the "upper class" people who used to run twitter and ran it into the ground with censorship, envy, and white hatred (who ironically *now* are all for racism when it reflects from them)-

Or you get the lower class pajeets who literally rape people on the way to the hospital.

Past that, I sometimes see people saying things like Sikhs are better, north Indians are better, etc-

When literally all the Indians in Ontario are basically Sikh, and ironically the ones who are kind of nice have been Christians from kerela in south India (worked with a few girls, and one guy from there, they were okay). Not defending them as a major group as they're the best I've ever seen, but like, whether by race or culture, India is just fucked up tbh and I want nothing to do with the country

Agreed, the Christians I've met are all from Tamil Nadu and about as nice as Christians I've met from Congo.

But I want Canada to be for Canadians, not a mess of the world's worst.

I think a public broadcaster is a useful thing to have. I would like to CBC restructured to focus strictly on news, sports and documentary shows like The Fifth Estate, Marketplace and The Nature of Things.

The big bonuses and the thing where they force tax payers at gunpoint to produce terrible woke sitcoms and dramas have to stop, though.

Also make Ian Hanomansing the main host of the National. He's the best anchor working there now and he ticks the diversity box. What the fuck is wrong with you CBC?

All those can be done by private broadcaster. But then again, legacy media is dying and it should die.

Hanomansing was supposed to take over The National after Mansbridge left. The people he ended up co-hosting with threw a huge shit fit about him getting it outright, hence the 4 anchors taking turns. They still don't want to give it to him, in case Arsenault throws a shit fit. I also think also after 7 years, he probably wants to move to something new and is probably fed up with the CBC.

I view it sort of the same as I would view a library. It's not the # 1 thing we need as a society, and I could always pirate books or buy them at a commercial book store, but still, it's nice to have if it's run well. The biggest problem with CBC is it is not well run. I feel like we can have a much better service for a fraction of the cost.

Not to mention Canada is basically run by a handful of companies who have also bought up the major broadcasters, and own most of the ISPs and cable networks. It is nice to have a source of information outside their control.

Except it's not so much outside their control as it is subject to all of their control at the same time, due to how those companies basically own the government. That won't change unless we have some major reforms.
