I got my restricted license a couple of years ago, mainly so if something happens to my husband his handguns don’t get immediately confiscated.

It was super easy, the local hardware store hosted it and the instructor taught both courses in one weekend. It’s lame that it’s necessary but it makes life simpler.

The practical uselessness of the federal government becomes more apparent the more they push this. Their power is basically all paperwork and financial, with limited ability to project force in meatspace.

Worse, they are doubling down on pretend power and further crippling themselves in reality. It’s always increasing control methods that weak, corrupt softlings can maintain: cameras, AI, monitoring bank accounts etc.

A month ago I crossed over into Michigan from Sarnia. Seeing the difference between the sides was crazy. You had white teenagers, students and seniors working fast food and retail and not Pajeets,

The houses were in better shape and way cheaper.

The non competes won’t be enforceable (unless rival trucking firms share HR resources (staffing agencies) which is possible)

As for the training repayment and penalties that’s why you quit after you receive your most recent paystub so they can’t withhold it off your next paycheque.

A managerial class that is inept, slow, and utterly detached from the concerns of ground-level Canadians runs this country. Unfortunately for us, they are ideologically driven to view societies as machine as opposed to complex organisms in of themselves. Crashing birth/fertility rates that threaten the long-term viability of the CPP? No problem! We'll just a million low-skill (East) Indians to suppress wages and exacerbate the housing crisis--turning neighborhoods and even entire cities into slums. Our post-national state has no core identity and its people are nothing more than interchangeable cogs. A fresh arrival from Punjab possesses as much--if not more--worth that a natural-born citizen who contributed to the nation their entire life in the eyes of our government.

What is funny about this is that the country this class believes exists stops at Ottawa city limits. They have no idea that recruiting in the armed forces is abysmal due in part to the glacial pace of the bureaucracy. It can take over a year to process the paperwork from what I hear so most move on before anything is finalized. Procurement has long been a nightmare so the CAF is poorly equipped with rock-bottom morale to boot because the federal government makes it a pastime of screwing veterans over. We shipped much of our equipment to Ukraine and the media reported that the country has only three days worth of munitions if a shooting war broke out.

A well-organized, armed, and properly funded uprising could quite possibly destabilize the country because the managerial class is ill-prepared to deal with such an event. Look at the Freedom Convoy and the so-called "occupation" of Ottawa. The disorganized response from all three levels of government as well as the outright unhinged reaction from the city's residents told me that they couldn't deal with a protest that wasn't the ruling party's cause du jour. Most of them do not know how supply chains operate or understand how fragile an economy can be. History taught us that command economies DO. NOT. WORK. A large enough disruption could cut off food and other supplies that would utter decimate them. Even their financial power is precarious because it's built on excessive borrowing and inflationary spending. Why else would they be introducing new taxes and increasing existing ones?

I never seen so much ignorance from a supposedly "educated" class, granted, that education is based on theory and not practicality.

I plan on moving out of this shithole country once me and my partner are financially stable enough to do so, and once we find some sort of job opportunity, perhaps even sooner if things get worse than I expect. I'm sick of living here. I fucking hate it here.
