I do not understand why they allow non-native born people get into office in Canada
ANY government job; police, politician, judge, etc. You'd think it would be the most basic fuckin requirement, but nooooo. How they didn't pass a law to make it a requirement in the 40s, 50s or 60s is beyond me. Absolute morons.

Unbelievably gay. Just a matter of time until he gets another one to cross for a majority. I shouldn't be rattled though, the CPC and by extension Canadians do this to themselves, they are their own worst enemy.
It feels so over here, other countries are lucky. US has Trump; Reform is gaining a lot of support in the UK; Japan allegedly has 'far right' prime minister now; Australia has that Thomas Sewell guy. Canada just has nothing. Liberals will stand to rule for another half a decade barring some absolute disaster. Once they get that majority I think they will boot PP and trot in Doug Ford.

I will vote greens or some joke party if PP gets replaces which he most likely will. Canada will be Ultra-Liberal North Korea, the world is honestly lucky that Canada doesn't have any real influence in the world, or we'd to interfering with countries like the UK's election and shit like China does.

The thing is that even without the censorship and other authoritarian laws, Cucknadians would self-censor either way. We see this now, even though we're not even THAT authoritarian yet. Canadians just have no critical thinking.

Also another interesting thing to keep in mind is that Canadian citizenship will get weaker and weaker due to the amount of mass immigration we have here.

The fact that Elizabeth May now holds the balance of power is insane. This is the most relevant she has been or ever will be
Based maybe we will get cheaper booze prices because the boozehound / National drunk holds the balance of power (rate me optimistic)
Hong Kong born Michael Ma, who just last week lambasted the Liberal party in a press release suddenly decided to cross the floor and join the party ran by Mark ''Cuck for China'' Carney. Definitely not suspicious at all! I'm just being a stupid, schizo chud.
Literally named Mike Ma after the Wignat.

In the span of 24 hours, Ma went from taking this photograph to crossing the floor. What a fucking Judas
Based fuck Pierre, he gets what he deserves. Why did he even allow that chink to run as a Conservative?

Damn. Das scary. Just get it over with it. One more MP crossing.
At least the shitshow that is Canada's decline is funny, but yeah if you're someone who had genuine hope for Canada, man it does suck, but Cucknadians love daddy government WAY too much.

Canadian "democracy" will die with a whimper. One day people will simply stop caring, mps will stop visiting parliament unless it's for show, even the news will stop taking elections seriously. It will be a slow but gradual decline.

Canadians simply don't understand that authoritarianism and declining democracy isn't only limited to third world countries. Irl even some of my friends who have more conservative or conservative-leaning ideas don't really know how much of a shit hole Canada is turning into. Basically "it can't happen here" but it can and will happen here.

One solace I have is that, if even China cannot fully censor the internet (many Chinese still use VPNs) then I doubt the Cucknadian gov can. Though their censorship will be successful, but not in the way you think. Canadians would willingly self-censor, in order to be on the "right side of history."

Also, no matter now bad America gets, Americans can always fall back on being autistically patrotic, something that just is impossible in Canada if you're not retarded like most of the country is.

Hilariously enough I don't think there will be another floor crossing. Why bother courting any more Con members when you only need to give May a few bottles and have her vote your way every time? Would be ironic Ottawa is now emulating BC politics if it wasn't so tragic.

This latest stunt did get me to buy a third SKS today so there's that at least. Got to boost those GDP numbers somehow :story:

Foreigners really shouldn't be allowed to take office. The ping pongs screw Canada again.
A mystery how a foreign-born person would do that, isn't it? Let alone someone who barely has connections to a country beyond some superficial level of immigrant parents, especially the current generation, that tend to be so fucking full of themselves.

I was doing a read and a country like the United Arab Emirates forbids dual citizenship. While that would be the "other end of the spectrum" to some, I honestly can't seem how that wouldn't terrible, seeing the damage it is causing to "Liberal democracies" worldwide.

Large parts of the world don't allow dual citizenships, technically most of the world doesn't if you're going by population. Pretty much all of Europe and the America allows this, and the results show for it self, fifth columns upon fifth columns.

Surprised Paraguay and Suriname have this, but hey.
I can't fault this, seriously. I don't know what constitutes a "fifth column", yet I have a hunch it is organizations and more organizations" bent on subverting a host country".

I think that one day Canada will have so many parallel societies that the country just collapses, since being Anglo-Canadian just mean "being in Canada" and being French-Canadian just means the language. Especially since there isn't any unifying culture or idea that glues Canada together anymore.

Dual citizenship was designed for the British subjects and Europeans.

It was not meant for third world stains.

Its not duel citizenships that Im against;

Its the requirements of citizenship being too lax that I'm against.

I think this is a non-issue because my biggest issue in Canada isn't even citizenship, its permanent residency and temporary foreign workers being given out like crack in the 80s.

But I think for all three, the requirements to get duel citizenship, PR, or TFW, need to be drastically altered and increased.

I don't mind people having multiple citizenships, if they can prove significant ties to the countries they belong to. My issue with "significant ties" is that I find that the bar is very low on that one generally. Could someone be a duel citizen of the US and Canada? Honestly, maybe you spent half your life between the two of them, actually have ties, you go over and across the border regularly, fair enough.

Do I want someone paying for citizenship, like Trumps gold card or whatever? No. Do I want someone to get citizenship who never resides in the country, or only returns for tax purposes so they dont lose their healthcare? No. This is unpopular, but I also think that citizenship should be tied to residency. I think it should be something which can be removed if you spend a decade plus outside of the country, and you have duel citizenship. At that point, it should just revert back to your original country's citizenship to discourage internationals from "shopping around". That may sound a bit off chart and impractical legally, but we do revoke citizenship based on terrorism, for example (or, well, we have it on the books- but you know "Canada", as if wed ever really do that anyways). I'm not going to call foreign residents terrorists, but I think there should be a serious legal conversation on citizenship abuse, because citizenship should also come with responsibilities (good old Romans), and if we have duel citizenship, there is technically a legal way to remove it based on extreme cases. Id argue that rampant citizenship abuse at our current levels may be one. Will that work en masse with the Indians? Lets not get ahead of ourselves, but I do think billionaires from Hong Kong, some from Indian, UAE, etc- yeah, I dont want to be your real estate tax haven. It also reminds me that I do believe that buying property should be reserved for citizens like in Singapore, but I digress.

Do I think politicians should be barred from having duel citizenship? Abso-fucking-lutely. Frankly, I think they should be barred from having permanent residence in any other country than Canada. If the ship sinks, I want you going down with it as well.

Do I think that certain countries should be disbarred from the duel citizenship program? Yeah, I do. Im fine with us allowing US citizens to have duel citizenship for reasons stated above, but think India should not be included in that program. There are certain countries where people are just here to abuse and milk the system en masse (theres always exceptions).

But regardless, all of this is a marginal issue. I think the TFW and PR systems are broken, and our requirements for granting both are far, far too lenient. We already debated it to death in this thread, but a) we have too many immigrants and before we even have this conversation about future immigrants, we need to boot out 9 million Indians,

and b) If we even got there, Im honestly against students or anyone being granted temporary foreign worker status when youth underemployment and unemployment have skyrocketed. The metric I want to see things measured by is "Do all of our young people have good jobs, a living wage, the ability to survive independently in this economy? If yes, then sure, you can hire an Indian worker. If not, train actual Canadians like we used to do before the 90s and eat the cost; were not granting TFW status so you can hire slave labour at the cost of our own domestic labour market".

We have a country run by retarded ass Boomers and Gex Xers who just have not cognitively gotten with the times and a modern digital economy.

Foreigners really shouldn't be allowed
Preach

The best part is China (like the jews) don't really recognize dual citizenship. They allow it for totally legitimate reasons but a Chinese citizen is a Chinese citizen first, second, and last PERIOD. Which combined with the fact they're allowed to run their own police system in Canada, own all the real estate, were responsible for the largest money laundering scheme ever (with 0 arrests), have been caught with their hands (and feet) in the espionage/government cookie jar...."oh he's canadian though it's fine he'll totally look out for us round eyed gwailos (and if not that's ok too, I am a racist colonizer who needs to be punished)"

America requires you to renounce your former citizenship at naturalization.

That’s why I side eye actors that were born in Canada, but are naturalized Americans. Technically they are no longer Canadian.

Since I love comparing Canada to historical countries, I'll do a comparison with the most similar modern country to libtard Canada and the most similar historic country.

The most similar modern country is Russia.

• One big establishment party, LPC (Canada) and United Russia (take a guess)

• Controlled opposition parties, all the other Russian parties are Russian nationalist ones (i.e. they would practically function the same as UR and probably would've still invaded Ukraine). In Canada half of the CPC are still progressive "conservatives," not to mention the other parties, also """moderates""" in Canada are just liberals with one or two differences from the party line (which is enough for the libs to consider them compromised)

• Ultra centralized, Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver with Canada and Moscow and Saint Petersburg with Russia

• fraudulent elections, Russia is filled with ballot stuffing and bribery for people to vote for Putin. In Canada it's not as direct but is done through fake polls, threats of being outcasted for voting for the "fascist cons" and Chinese foreign interference.

• Both are allies of China.

• Russian nationalists and Canadian "nationalists" have a similar mentality. You can not go against the party, even if you're an opposition party, and in fact opposition parties and figures are put up to a higher standard. And of course, the good old response when you bring up the country's problems: "if you don't like the country just leave!"

• Their most hated nation are ironically the most similar to them culturally (Russia with Ukraine and Canada with America).

*The one huge difference is that there's WAY more Russians who know that their country sucks than there are Cucknadians who understand that Cucknada sucks.

The most similar historical country is the Empire of Japan, which might sound like a crazy comparison, but it really makes sense if you look into it.

• Canadians worship Carney and other liberal leaders like the Trudeaus the same way the Japanese in the empire worshipped Hirohito and the Japanese royal family. Hirohito was literally considered a god, and liberal Canadians basically treat carney and the liberals as gods.

• Unlike a country like North Korea which is completely isolated, both the empire of japan and modern Canada were actually pretty involved with the global community, and were important countries as well. Both however, chose stay ignorant and ignored their country's propaganda and issues out of some perceived superiority they had towards their neighbours.

• Both have a strong hatred towards their neighbouring countries, Japan with Korea and China, and Canada with the USA. And ironically in both cases, their most hated countries are the most similar to them culturally (and physical appearances wise when it comes to China and Japan)

• Apathy towards democracy and freedoms. Japan was technically a democracy even into WW2 but it was filled with low voter turn out and political violence. In 1942, the election where Hideki Tojo became PM, all the Japanese parties were merged into one big party cuz "you're a traitor if you opposed the government in anyway!" Similarly Canadians believe they will run better as an authoritarian country and consider opposition parties traitorous for not just voting with the liberals 200% of the time.

• Glorification of violence against other enemy nations. The Japanese straight up were celebrating atrocities like the rape of nanjing and the torturing of allied POWs in the Pacific (until they started losing of course). And let's be honest, if something like another 9/11 happened tommorow, most Canadians would celebrate the tragedy.

• Nationalists in both countries were fanatic. Japanese soldiers would fly planes into battleships, or rush into machine gun fire without question. Canadians mainly commit to flame war on places like Reddit, spewing propaganda about how """amazing""" Canada is compared to stinky Amerikkka. Though there are a few cases of leaf rage irl, like when that Christian singer came to Quebec some quebecistani tried to ram his car into the truck the singer was sleeping in, kinda like a Kamikaze attack in a way.

*The big difference here is that cucknadians are way too pussy to commit an atrocity like the rape of nanjing or to kamikaze a plane into a ship, so everyone can talk solace in that.

Based fuck Pierre, he gets what he deserves. Why did he even allow that chink to run as a Conservative?
Exactly. How's that NOT RACIST outreach working out, CPC? You ran a chink, won the election and still lost the seat. I'm surprised the Libs don't just put plants in CPC ridings, the Cons are dumb enough to let them in.

The Cons need to understand: chinks, jeets, flips, spics... none of them give a fuck about Canada beyond what it means to their pocketbook, and an offer of lower taxes can easily be countered by an offer for more government cash money .
