Yeah I saw those, I guess there must have been a street fight?

Also, is anyone else watching the goyball?
There's a thread on the Halifax reddit about it. There's not much info there either though. From parsing through it the Seconds Son were going to rally on Citadel Hill, but I thought that's where the Canada First rally was suppose to be? They get swamped by trannyfa but end up on the waterfront somehow? Probably have to wait for Jeremy's next podcast for the details.

I found a little bit more on bluesky:

The second photo in the last tweet has the Second Sons with Jeremy and looks like Ferryman is there too. They appear to be in a building however, and don't appear anywhere in the Citadel Hill or waterfront photos. How they got the antifa heirlooms is not there.

Canada is losing this trade war. America is a $30 trillion economy. Canada is not going to make Americans suffer.
Don't tell the rich boomers who are boycotting Arizona and Florida and will instead end up in their Frozen Cabins.

Hopefully said boomers all freeze in their vacation cabins this Winter (I doubt many are as Fat as PPP)

Are Canadians really this retarded? Most Americans don't care about the tariffs with Canada. This is only hurting Canadians. This is so frustrating.

The rednecks in the Appalachians have higher incomes than Ontario and Quebec. We are not in a position to demand Americans for anything.
Yes canadians are that retarded specifically because of canadian arrogance and the insistence that being "nice" is a foreign policy choice.
Also it doesnt help that liberal americans constantly gas up liberal canadians with their idea that Canada is still in 2015 bro and still better than the US in all metrics.
If Trump annexes Alberta and Saskatchewan he could probably revitalize the complete American economy just by rebuilding Alberta to have modern infrastructure
One could only dream as an american.
Yeah, the Elbows Up video had me amazed at how many Canadians gave a shit about the opinion of someone who fled Canada in the early 90s.
Every successful canadian moved to America to make their money and fame. Canada is not a country you make it big in.

But all that economic activity between Vancouver and Toronto is carried on the US interstate highway, unless its small enough to get put on an airplane.
Wrong. Insurance makes it expensive to go through the states and lots of truck drivers have drug convictions or are jeets with bought licenses that won't stand up to border guard scrutiny. Plus, the TCH is four-laned throughout the Prairies and into BC and also from Arnprior east to the Quebec border, and they run doubles on those stretches.

I don't believe they will ever four-lane the whole highway through Northern Ontario, probably just from TBay to Nipigon where Hwy 11 comes in (lots of trucks take that because there's no hills). That's just another empty political promise from Douggy Ford.

that stretch of road between Manitoba and Ontario is fucking scary to drive, you can't maintain speed and when you turn a corner sometimes there's a moose on the road. If you see those little piles of rocks on the side that's a marker that someone died there, and you'll notice a LOT of those little piles. If you're driving that road in a big truck you would almost want to hire a specialist who drives the pass for you and then waits for someone to have him drive the pass back.

There are few trucks going on that road.

Argentina did a reverse Canada.

Javier Milei has successfully courted engagement with President Trump into the US Treasury agreeing to float the Peso with a multi billion dollar purchase agreement. The USA has agreed to open trade for Argentinian Beef and other agriculture products. All contingent on the Argentine voters kicking the communists out of the legislature. Which was done today.

As of now, Argentina now has better access to the US Market than Canada. Wild what happens when the leader of the country approaches the global hegemon as the actual global hegemon, and the voters of that country consider the ramifications of their choice.

how is a failed state able to implement something like this? Meanwhile, america is aiming to further cut social programs
This is the exact same idiotic posturing as Albo in Aus talking about his magical green credit card, or people prostrating themselves before the holy NHS in tha yookay.

Wow, we signed a piece of paper that makes it free to get XYZ benefit! Then you actually go to use the services, and find out that the waiting list is fourteen months and the providers all refuse non-paying patients because the cost ceiling is lower than the break even point.

There's a massive problem in Western countries at the moment where you can get diagnosed with a potentially terminal illness but still be low enough in the chain that you need to wait potentially 6-24 months for a diagnostic to verify that you need XYZ treatment, at which point you're already dead.

For all the problems of the US and all the memes about muh hospital made me bankrupt, I'd rather go to hospital, get all my scans the same day, be on chemo or whatever the next month and go bankrupt rather than have no upfront cost and be dead after waiting two years.

These systems are great for those who need immediate life-saving trauma care or for those who don't mind sitting in the ER or waiting 2 weeks for an appointment to get confirmation they have the common cold. For everyone else it sucks.

r/halifax is celebrating that they outnumbered those poor 8 protesters lmfao.
In other words I think trantifa was outside the Second Sons event and tried to fight them when they came out, hence the spoils of war.

Its also something where,

for a simple answer- debt.

The government will foot the bill (basically consider it a subsidy to dental and insurance companies in particular), which means that someone else is paying for it, through taxes, which will inevitably increase.

Its basic math. I'm not against expanding dental care to be included in healthcare, but for the government to do something like that, they should be reporting an expanding economy to compensate, profit, etc. Instead, its the opposite.

Its like Venezuela announcing a decade and a half ago that they were expanding social welfare, with no concurrent increases in oil production.

It looks good on paper, but its literally economically retarded.

And then, yeah- you have to wait half a year for the service.

This is so incredibly ass, they could not sound more flat, holy shit

Also, like wow, was Trump canceling trade negotiations not enough humiliation for Ford the first time?
Also I heard something about how the BC gov's possibly planning to roll our their own attack ads to follow suit with Ford, despite him backing down? Anyone got any more info on that?

I can't understand how these are the retards we've been letting run our country into the ground, fucking brain dead boomers & libtards, Jesus
Because they are essentially over educated useless idiots who think Because they have a degree they're smarter than everyone else even as they waste their smarts on being dumb alcoholic degenerate junkies who blow through their children's inheritance.
Worse then that, if you want to drive from Toronto to Vancouver its faster to cross into the USA at Detroit and take I-94. Part of the reason the truckers protested during COVID was they needed to use the US interstate highway system and the border restrictions basically fucked them. Never mind independent economy, Canada isn't properly connected internally either.
Yep the American interstate system has its flaws sure but when it comes to moving goods from A-B its great. I know urbanists want every city to be Amsterdam but even the Dutch have great highways well hidden from public view. Canada is the worst infrastructure wise since the countries liberal government never Invested in modernizing its highways as it bought into climate change and land back bullshit. With how insane some urbanists are canada might never develop the infrastructure needed to stay even second world.

You can broadcast Reagan footage as much as you want, but if you're using it in something then it's another story. Using the visage of a dead man with an estate is usually a big no no, especially in stuff like political ads.
It really depends on the copyright status of the footage.

If the recording of the speech was created by the US government itself and sent out to networks, it is in the public domain.

If it's a recording a network like ABC made of the speech, ABC would own the copyright to the recording.

In general if something is in the public domain, you do not need any permission to use it regardless of purpose.

You could take footage of Charlie Chaplin from the Gold Rush, for example, and edit it into your own political advertisement without permission from his estate.

Sometimes even if the footage is copyrighted, its use is covered under fair use.

Just think about it. People use footage of their opponents saying unflattering stuff in political ads without permission all the time. Do you think they get their opponents' permission?
You need to petition to use his likeness in official works. It's the same reason big budget movies like Star Wars need permission from someone's family to resurrect them with CGI.
This is entirely different from a copyright perspective.

Disney would need permission to create new footage of Leia using a computer generated image of Carrie Fischer's likeness, the creepy computer Leia in Rogue One is a good example, but footage that has already been recorded is fair game to be edited and used in whatever way Disney sees fit, like the left over footage from The Last Jedi they used in Rise of Skywalker to put Fischer in the movie.

I mean usually their opponents aren't dead during the mudslinging, though the last President of the US could be considered an outlier.

I dunno man I'm just tired of Canadian politics revolving around Trump. Half these fucks are literally running on platforms of "I will beef with Orange man" instead of, oh I don't know, CANADA'S PROBLEMS.
