I'm guessing you've never lived in a rural area if you think it's less expensive than living in a city. There are a lot of 'hidden' expenses that come with rural living that city-dwellers may not realize or think about; a big one is the cost of transport. Rural or urban, the COL is still too high and unmanageable for most people.

So true, probably the only way to deal with the porn epidemic thing at this point is to give it the same treatment they gave to cigarettes.

The problem is it doesn't matter how clearly they define the issue, at the end of the day the enforcement is still being left up to the platform itself/3rd party services and we know how egregiously they're going to implement the so called 'safety measures' to ensure there's no possibility of them being at fault (or they'll just ban access entirely)

Additionally almost every social platform eventually has some kind of adult content migrate in (porn, violence, 'harmful speech, etc), once that happens those platforms are a lot more likely to then make user experience infuriatingly restrictive 'to keep kids safe' rather than waste the time&money to actively police content instead of relying on a shitty AI flagging software & 'community reporting'

I'm hearing a lot about this age verification stuff this week, there's a rumor that allegedly GTA VI online is going to require proof of age to play. I've only played the current GTA Online like once in the last ten years and each lobby were literally all kids screaming 'nigger' into the mic. Makes you wonder how determined certain companies will actually be to handle age verification when a huge portion of their audiences are all kids lol.

Jamal Zaki was charged with sexual assault on April 13, 2022. After a provincial court trial concluded 22½ months later, he was convicted of the charge on March 25, 2024.
The Supreme Court of Canada has set strict timelines for the completion of criminal matters in lower courts. In provincial courts, the so-called Jordan timeline calls for cases to be done in 18 months. Zaki's lawyer argued his conviction violated his client's rights under the Charter of Rights and Freedoms because the case exceeded the 18-month mark.

Ironically Japan's main "far-right" party are their liberals (LDP). I know 'liberal' is usually associated with right leaning or centrist parties and groups outside north america, but I still find it funny because Japan's liberals are the polar opposite to ours. Honestly, the LDP makes MAGA republicans look like shitlibs in comparison.

Jews are integral to promoting lgbtq+ in societies for better and for worse so it does make sense to include them. Make sure they are front and center with the deviants half naked and holding each other by the leashes
