It really is mindblowing to me how so many Ontarians and BC idiots never clue in that the Liberal Party itself is totally corrupt, and a new leader doesn't change that, since the leaders always come up from within the party. Every Liberal leader that was become PM has left under a cloud of scandal.

The Liberal Party of Canada is the exemplification of "Meet the new boss, same as the old boss."

In completely unrelated news, Alberta just greatly lowered the requirements for a citizen-initiated referendum. One day after the election. I'm still in "nothing ever happens" mode, but, OK.

I don't see how this wasn't already true at any point in history. Canada only ever existed because America allowed it to.
 
If the usa does annex all of canada, it basically would become one big puerto rico, with probably less autonomy. At the same time the only provinces the would be considered for statehood are the 4 western provinces (bc is not as likely but i could see it becoming a state simply to curb chinese influence there).
