Please. Harper was the one who started expanding immigration, in particular the TFW program, beyond all reason. Then Trudeau came in and said 'hold my beer.' Sure things were better under Harper, but not because Harper was a good Prime Minister, rather because he's not Justin Trudeau. And that's a very low bar to clear.

PP wants to allow foreign health care workers to bring their credentials to work in Canada, but that's a dumb idea for three reasons:
1) regulation of health care is a provincial responsibility, so he can't do shit without the consent of the provinces
2) bringing in so many foreign workers will crash wages in health care, especially in the private sector, due to basic supply and demand
3) people will die because third-world health care workers come from countries with vastly inferior standards of education and training where there are not taught basic health and safety
On point 3, I don't want to contract hepatitis because some nurse from Ethiopia or Laos was never properly taught how to sterilize equipment before a procedure.
Ontario already has a shortage of healthcare workers. Yet they refuse to pay more and instead just pay more to Nursing / Staffing agencies rather than pay direct.

Every time Canadians ask if they can bring in skilled foreigners nobody ever acknowledges that you can't bring them in because they go to better countries now.

The most hardcore important political question you have to ask any Canadian is "Why are the only people migrating to Canada coming from the most fucked up shithole countries on Earth instead of good countries like how it used to be?"

To lure a skilled doctor from a good country to a city like Vancouver you have to actually offer a salary higher than what they could make in the US because the government allowed the housing to be used as a Chinese laundromat.

So in the end "skilled" migration means bringing in unqualified people from shitholes with worse credentials and then the actual skilled Canadians brain drain because they get paid less and have to deal with incompetence.

This has happened in the tech industry. Every person good at tech gets the fuck out of Canada ASAP so they don't have to deal with the jeet flood (USA gets higher tier jeets but that's a whole other issue).

Power leveling I guess but what I tend to see is pajeets like to come into Canada temporarily and then move to the USA when they can qualify for NAFTA status in the US. Canadians either finish school and move to the bay area or stick it out because they have family & roots here.

Can't forget the best part. Canada's best and brightest can also easily go elsewhere for better pay and lower cost of living. There's practically no reason for talent to bother with Canada now.

I'm afraid to look at the news today because i really don't want to see that nothing ever happens (tm).

This looks like a shitcoin chart where the token creator is about to dump their whole premine

Except that if you're a White Old Stock Canadian, no European country wants you and good luck getting into the states without Corporate sponsorship (harder and harder now that Megacorps only want to hire Shitskins)

USA has been boiling over about birthright citizenship for 20 years at this point. The Leaf response to this seems to be "hold my maple syrup, eh?"

I can't see how this can be abused. The limitation requires Canadian citizenship to begin with, and as far as I know as long as you are a citizen of the U.S. or even have a presence in the U.S. if your child is born abroad they have birthright citizenship. That right then passes down to the child.

The Superior Court of Ontario ruled that Harper-era restrictions on birthright citizenship were unconstitutional (Bjorkquist et al. v. Attorney General of Canada), and the Trudeau Liberals chose not to appeal the ruling to the Supreme Court of Canada. The government was given a certain deadline to replace the Harper-era legislation, and this is what they came up with. They were basically ordered by the court to introduce this legislation.
