We all know there are thousands, if not millions of different genders, so many people discover in life they are transgender. Many have reported their cats and dogs are trans too, but what about bugs? Isn't it transphobic to assume that a web-spinning, egg-laying spider or stinging honeybee is female? Some insects who lay eggs might identify as male.

I just wanna know if the push for us to eat the bugs, while necessary to save us from going extinct by 2030, might be a problematic product of cisgender supremacy.

What ever they is, theme good eating.

I don't think bugs and spiders can be mentally ill or sex pests
There are a number of scientifically documented invertebrate species where one sex frequently harasses the other in an attempt to coerce mating.

As for mental illness, all biological systems are capable of malfunction, even the tiny brains of insects. However, if an insect brain malfunctions, said insect will likely not be able to either secure a mate or avoid predators. No offspring and an ignominious death.

I'm sure these are lessons for the human race in one form or another.
