Sometimes this strategy even works for very, very illegal stuff too.

Depends on how hard the people on the internet are fucking with you. Drachenlord is so regularly fucked with it would probably take years for the majority of his trolls to finally move on from him if he were to disappear from the internet entirely.

Other than those more extreme cases if you're just some goober like Jack Scalfani yeah you can just ignore them most of the time.

More or less, that's why you're going to notice cancel brigades targeted at sites like this usually work by attempting to quickly whip as many people as possible up into a frenzy and pile onto some unsuspecting provider in the hopes that you can get them to cave before the provider can collect its wits or people can lose interest/question your narrative.

Even if we're talking about internet figures, half the time someone's audience doesn't even know something happened until they themselves address it, and even if you have heard that they did something wrong until they confirm it themselves you're never sure how true it is.

Yes absolutely, it's the age old adage of don't feed the trolls, if you don't give people a reaction they want from people online that eventually they will get tired and eventually move on, this incredibly simple advice genuinely works most of the time people do it and more people really should follow suite.

Depends on what the "Internet problem" is. And the country you live in.

If you're like me, in my country, you can get arrested for the smallest insult you'd make to the president. I don't think you can ignore that.
