CoD is apparently getting a fucking movie now. 2028 assuming no delays (:optimistic:)

Unless it's about the zombies storyline, it's going to bomb. The campaigns are already interactive movies and good luck trying to pull a fortnite and make the multiplayer have some sort of canon. Oh wait, they already did with Warzone, never mind lmfao.
Anyways, nobody cares about this franchise anymore, and frankly, what the fuck are they even going to make this about? Is it going to be a WW2 movie? Based on Modern Warfare? Black Ops? Ghosts? All of these and more are Call of Duty, this tells us nothing.
I'm mildly annoyed that I can't seem to set a specific operator for MW remastered though, unless you can, and I just haven't figured it out yet.
MW Remastered is based off COD4, what made you think that game had selectable operators?

you absolutely can. it's not like modern COD where you get an entire player model though, the character you select still wears the uniform of whatever team you're on, but even then you can change the camouflage on it.

That's like saying Battlefield 2 also has selectable operators because their uniform slightly changes based on what class you select. Then again, that's how it was in the original, maybe MWR added in some obscene layers of un-needed customization for microtransactions, wouldn't be surprised. Yet another reason to just play the original, last I checked there is still a few lobbies on PC that don't have hackers(plus, you get mods, not the kind that let you see thru walls or give you god mode but legit new content, maps and modes).

what? that's not the same at all. COD4R also has that feature and that's not what i was referring to. i posted a video of it, there is a feature for selecting a character.

So now you got an independent menu for doing what you could do in the original already by selecting a certain class of primary weapon. Big whoop, about as needed to the game as tits on a camel.

i think you're being intentionally dense now. the team uniforms and weapon-specific uniforms are still done automatically. the part that he was asking about and the part i was answering for him was that you can get different character heads and camouflages.

I'm still new to the series. Since the others that I own, WW2, Cold War and MW 2019 have that feature, I thought they all did. Please forgive my severe trangression.
I'm guessing you have a PS4/5 since MW2019 was recently added to Game Pass.

So far, what did you think of Call of Duty? No worries, it happens. I only wish you had a better welcome for your questions.

I was confused when he said "operators" since MWR does not have them, just face swaps. Even so, you'd need to unlock them through supply drops I believe.

Let's take bets,

What's it gonna be

a) an adaption of one of the games
b) a story set in universe of one of the games
c) It's own unique story/tie in for COD2028
d) some kind of meta story tangentially related to call of duty
I hope it's based on Vanguard.

This is why I avoid Call of Duty on 360 if possible. Black Ops II and MW2 being the worst examples. And wow at the name on 12:45.

MW22 is approaching this level, to some extent; hackers are regularly crashing MP matches on the game, mostly DMZ and Ground War. Even the supposed "Private" Matches aren't safe, since everything runs on the same servers; some fag decides to crash a game, every match loses connection.

It's not every match, mind, but it's increasing in frequency these days.

To be fair, Activision has always been like this. WaW was completely destroyed on the PS3 all of 18 months after release. We weren't even midway through the MW2 cycle when they just let hackers wreck the game, no more patches.

Wait, is that why some games "freeze" before giving me a "Lost Connection to Host/Server" error in Tahoma typeface?

Yep. Even in Private Matches, you'll be lucky to actually get to do much before some kiddie shuts down the match. Creates a rather shite situation where the game is, effectively, unplayable; main draw for it these days is DMZ and the rewards you could unlock in theory, but the kiddies have already ruined it.

That's just horrible security. I thought MW2019 onward used dedicated servers.

With that, all you need to jailbreak or hack a PS3 is, evidently, some software and a few minutes of time.

That said, I do fault Activision for not maintaining their P2P games.

Bit of a kick to the dick, really; I really was wanting to give MW22 a proper try this go around, but this? Genuinely a killing move.

Looks like I'll be moving on over to MWR now; was also thinking about "maybe" giving MW2019 another shot, but one thing at a time...

I’m guessing that’s why MW2 2022 has all those negative reviews on Steam. Activision pretty much abandoned it after MW3 2023 came out, and as a result, the hackers pretty much had a field day with it.

That said, I still plan to play it sometime, if only for the campaign.

they really want you to play warzone. to the point i thought i had an issue playing the game where it wouldnt launch and it turned out i kept trying to play warzone by accident. they made that menu confusing as hell

Activision does that with every Call of Duty. Once its lifecycle ends, onto the next one. It's a miracle when an older CoD receives an update for whatever reason.

Example:

Black Ops 6 has to be a great example of "forgotten." I was going to make an analogy of making dairy based dishes and letting them sit out, slowly spoiling from the elements.
