Ahaha, so it turns out people are requesting refunds for this game due to all of the gay shit, because it was never hinted at or advertised prior to release.

I really can't blame them, from what I've seen in the game it would be better rated as E10+. There's a huge disparity between the mood of the story and the actual gameplay and presentation.
 
I've been watching Vinny from Vinesauce play this and all things considered I think the gay couples and the they/them feel implemented in a non-preachy way. If anything the typical "Totes omg hot takes" character was the actual thing I rolled my eyes at.

Some of the character arcs were pretty decent.

I mean we're talking about a game full of muppets and Naughty Dog couldn't even match that with TLOU2's character arcs.

That and considering any and all appendages can be hot dogs or tacos so transexualism is literally built into the game mechanics.
 
I was looking at the wiki for a character and people were bitching about floofty being non-binary or some shit? Granted I only watched vinesauce play it not actually played it myself, but I didn't pick up on anything signifying that at all. Or is it just some fancanon shit? She was my fave character too (:_(

I have to say, having never heard of this game before Vinny played it, I had no idea what to expect. But I was pleasantly surprised by what it turned out to be. I started off watching really not liking the grumpuses or their designs but they rub off you. Or at least me.

I think the romance could have been toned down a bit, some of it was just outright cringy (gay or otherwise) but I'm still thinkin' bout them snax a couple days later. My only regret is that I didn't stop watching Vinny and start playing it myself. But now knowing how to catch everything takes the fun out of it.
And even with two gay couples it was all treated normally and not preachy in anyway, which as a faggot, I appreciate.
That gender special shit can fuck right off tho.

You didn't notice all the characters and the quest logs were using They/them pronouns?
