A heated row has broken out over a move by Britain's largest bakery chain to launch a vegan sausage roll.

The pastry, which is filled with a meat substitute and encased in 96 pastry layers, is available in 950 Greggs stores across the country.

It was promised after 20,000 people signed a petition calling for the snack to be launched to accommodate plant-based diet eaters.

But the vegan sausage roll's launch has been greeted by a mixed reaction: Some consumers welcomed it, while others voiced their objections.

Cook and food poverty campaigner Jack Monroe declared she was "frantically googling to see what time my nearest opens tomorrow morning because I will be outside".

While TV writer Brydie Lee-Kennedy called herself "very pro the Greggs vegan sausage roll because anything that wrenches veganism back from the 'clean eating' wellness folk is a good thing".

One Twitter user wrote that finding vegan sausage rolls missing from a store in Corby had "ruined my morning".

Another said: "My son is allergic to dairy products which means I can't really go to Greggs when he's with me. Now I can. Thank you vegans."

TV presenter Piers Morgan led the charge of those outraged by the new roll.

"Nobody was waiting for a vegan bloody sausage, you PC-ravaged clowns," he wrote on Twitter.

Mr Morgan later complained at receiving "howling abuse from vegans", adding: "I get it, you're all hangry. I would be too if I only ate plants and gruel."

Another Twitter user said: "I really struggle to believe that 20,000 vegans are that desperate to eat in a Greggs."

"You don't paint a mustach (sic) on the Mona Lisa and you don't mess with the perfect sausage roll," one quipped.

Journalist Nooruddean Choudry suggested Greggs introduce a halal steak bake to "crank the fume levels right up to 11".

The bakery chain told concerned customers that "change is good" and that there would "always be a classic sausage roll".

It comes on the same day McDonald's launched its first vegetarian "Happy Meal", designed for children.

The new dish comes with a "veggie wrap", instead of the usual chicken or beef option.

It should be noted that Piers Morgan and Greggs share the same PR firm, so I'm thinking this is some serious faux outrage and South Park KKK gambiting here.

It's almost as if they're inverting the entirety of their law system to be the opposite of what it should be, the United States. It's not like the UK had good laws before seeing as how it used to be illegal to be gay and the UK's laws only get worse the further back you go from there. Was there ever a point in time where the UK had a Goldilocks period where their laws weren't motherfucking retarded?
Not Sargon of Akkad he watches cuck porn
So he's a narcissist?

Defenseless children can't fight back? That's why abortion is also a thing?
WHEN HAVE THE LEFT EVER BEEN GOOD PEOPLE?

I'm all for humane and rehabilitative justice but this is not going to work at all.

All this will do is give pedophiles a free pass to keep doing what they are doing and never face any repercussions for their actions at all.

Here's what I see that is going to happen. A said pedophile gets caught with child pornography and rather than being sent to prison (like anyone else that commits a crime) they'll just end up spending a few months in some comfortable workshop weaving baskets and building shelves, and then they'll get off scott free and they will continue doing what they do and never face any real repercussions for their actions.

Look, I'm all for reforming the prison systems in the west (because prisons in almost every western country are usually just locking convicts up and then they almost never give the convicts any real opportunities to better themselves and so they resort back to doing more crime when they finally get out of prison because they don't have not much of a choice) but all this will do is just leave these pedophiles go practically unpunished.

So if the UK does give the green light on this stupid shit then expect a lot of pedophiles to feel like that they are free to do what they want and there is nothing that anyone can stop them.

-"Think Tank" idea

I wonder why a labour politician would support the idea of hand-waiving paedos? Couldn't at all be related to who their voter base is, could it?
Doesn't seem to be official government policy...yet.

Semi-automatic rifles were legal until 1987 and handguns were legal until 1996, and the very restrictive laws on the use of knives didn't come around until the mid-2000s. This is also around the same time steady mass immigration from Pakistan and Bangladesh began. Most of modern Britain's worst traits came about within the past thirty years or so, the country is almost unrecognisable from how it was in the days of Thatcher.

What happened to hanging sick fucks, British people?
"You're culture states to set your wives alight in the streets, and our culture states to hang men who do such things. Let us both adhere to our cultures."
Seriously, just fuck off. You people are unsalvageable.

Anyone who's paid attention to my posts here knows I bitch about England a lot, even to an almost a-loggy degree, and I know that's annoying, and I apologize to those it annoys. But god damn. This shit is infuriating. Why does Britain have to be so fucking degenerate? What the hell started them on this path? Is it just being cucked that fucking much? Are the people of Britain so fucking apathetic that they don't care about actually child rape enough to do anything tangible about it. Is fucking mean comments online really more important than properly punishing these sick fucks. Like Arctic Fox said, what the fuck happened to you lot hanging degenerates? Is it to mean or is there a god damn rope shortage.

Sorry for the text wall but fuck. we should really consider adding England and the EU for the shit of it, to the travel ban. Immigration ban too. Having any of those fuckers come over the pond should be catastrophic.

If the UK Police arrested you they wouldn't have to put a team of tech wizards to work cracking the encryption on your devices, they'll simply force you to hand over your password.

If you don't... Guess what? that's a criminal offense by itself!.
I addressed that in my post. Read the last part of the first paragraph and the third.

This is the relevant legislation, from Section 53 of the Regulatory of Investigatory Powers Act.
For the purposes of this section a person shall be taken to have shown that he was not in possession of a key to protected information at a particular time if—

(a) sufficient evidence of that fact is adduced to raise an issue with respect to it; and

(b) the contrary is not proved beyond a reasonable doubt.
The second condition is straightforward and satisfied by default.

With respect to the first condition, it's possible to set up a multi-factor encryption scheme where both a passphrase and a physical device (key-splitting, smart card, etc) is needed. If the latter is destroyed prior to the receipt of a Section 49 Order (a demand to decrypt), it should be sufficient to show that your setup requires a physical device which is now destroyed. This separate device should be attached to or inside of the computer, so that both are seized together, precluding the possibility that you destroyed it after receiving the S49 order. Indeed, it's in your interest to have them seize all of your electronic devices.

Whether this opens you up to separate charges is an open question. I should think not, especially if it self-destructs automatically when, say, the case is opened or the owner fails to take some positive action after X hours. You could very well argue that such a measure was in place in defense of theft, and not to frustrate the authorities.

Nevertheless, unless the investigation concerns national security or CP, the maximum sentence for refusing to disclose is two years, so refusing is almost always the correct decision. Theoretically, on completing your sentence, the authorities could issue you with another S49 order, and not complying would constitute a separate offense for which you could be charged again, and this pattern could repeat indefinitely making you a perpetual prisoner, but I'm not aware of any such cases, and one could reasonably argue that after two years they had forgotten their encryption key.

OK you obviously know what you're writing about, apologies if my response seemed glib.

That said I think that if someone has got to the stage where there is potentially damaging material on a device that the police now have control of, you're fucked. The goalposts have been arranged in such a way that unless you have access to significant resources there is no positive outcome.

Can't you go to jail in the UK for possessing lolicon but you can still fuck a 16 year old? UK laws confuse me.

And you brain dead faggots have the audacity to act like you're so much better than Americans lol.
